Check in was a bad experience. i was being asked to get in touch with the 3rd party card holder who was to be charged for my booking- which i had secured over the internet and my credit card debited! So i had no idea who the 3rd party credit card holder was. No account was opened for me on check in, so to my embarassment, i had to pay cash for all services .

The administration upsets me. I have difficulties in asking for any services: face towels, drinking water, bathrobe(which the hotel promise for executive rooms.) The house keeping is very bad but fortunately the hotel cafe services are very good.

Hotel was not very clean - I did not like the fact that the lobby allowed smoking - coming from the US, I felt that the hotel should pick a seperate area for smokers. Service was not terribly great as well - I had to argue with reception for almost an hour about my pre-paid voucher credit from hotelclub.net - CAVEAT EMPTOUR!! On a positive note - great location - close to all of the major sites and shopping - 5 min ride to Buckingham Palace!!

Maybe because we were there at a very busy time, but oftentimes we had to have long waits for the lifts, so much so that many people were opting to take the stairs, even five flights up. Breakfast also meant a wait, and scarcity of plates, croissants, juice. But all in all, we had a good stay, and would visit this hotel again.
