The foyer and breakfast restaurant were very 'bland' and lacked character or an atmosphere. Room was excellent and the bed and sheeting was superb.

The hot water (to basin and shower) on the first morning was running cold. I ran it for 15 minutes but it did not get warm!

I had visions of grandeur & was alittle disappointed due to refubishment work been carried out, we had no idea this was happening. However after speaking to hotel staff they kindly talked us through the new development which is fantastic. The hotel is in great need, looks tired & well worn but a very impressive building. Would love to visit again after work totally finished thats if l can afford the new suspected increased prices.

Fridge and coffeemaker would be convenient. Jacuzzi was cold. No steam room (according to facilities there should be one).

Untill the hotel is refurbished it remains poor value for money, worn carpets, rattling windows and tattered curtains. Perhaps waiting 2 years or more for the planned £22 millions refit would be sensible.

Very dissapointed.This weekend was the 30th birthday treat for my partner.On arrival they told us we coulnd't have the suit that i had ordered for £300 so for the same price they put us into a normal room !!!! Not happy and i will be sending you a letter to try at least to get some of my money back !!

We like that a hotel has a history to tell. This is one of these hotels. We wish they could reintroduce their teadance of bygone days. The breakfast were on the other hand perfect with the right atmosphere of this distinguished place. The only thing to pick on was the tea that I expected not to be with a teabag, something that says a lot of the atmosphere of this hotel. There were an ongoing rebuilding during our stay. We would have liked to be informed about this before booking.

Im afraid with a name like the Waldorf and the cost of staying there, I was expecting Much more from this hotel, I would class this hotel as no more that a three star at most, I was disapointed with the room facilities & room make up each morning, the other staff could not be more helpful & Reliable, I know better Hotels at less cost to myself. I suggest you stay at the real Waldorf in New York.

The hotel isn't what you expect from a five star. The rooms are tiny (and the decorating probably not to many peoples taste), there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the mini bar is VERY expensive. Due to the refurbishment taking place there were areas which made you feel like you were staying on a building site. I ignored most peoples reviews when chosing the hotel and listened only to the good points but i'd advise you not to stay here as there seemed more bad than good.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Le Meridien Waldorf, we both thought the staff were lovely, really friendly and helpful and it was nice to see the same faces the next day too. We would definitely stay there again.

Curent refurbishment programme - means that look and feel of hotel is 3*** not 5*****. Just one lift also means considerable delays getting to and from rooms

Excellent hotel, the service was second to none. The room was sparkling clean. Very very impressed, we will certainly be staying there again!
