hotel is noisy due to sirens etc in this part of town but location is otherwise v good. Rooms are old fashioned and cramped but this is reflected in price.

I was initially given a very small singleroom which would have been okay were it not for a dreadful, nauseating drain-type smell which made me feel ill very sson after being in the room. I infomed reception and was eventually given a much bigger, pleasaner room at a different part of the hotel. So good service in re-assigning that room, the bed was very good, bathroom and shower very good. Breakfast was quite basic and reminded me of a student canteen, very crowded and a bit grubby.

The hotel's location is a strong point. Just 100 metres from Tottenham court road tube station it is ideal for exploring all areas of London with many within walking distance. Unfortunately the hotel itself didn't live up to its billing. Considering your paying top money there were several issues that you wouldn't have expected: The room was very small with a tiny window for ventilation - this made it continuously hot and muggy. The decor is old and could do with being updated. The bathroom is small and silly things like a broken toilet roll holder and no extractor fan were issues. The towells supplied were dirty and certainly dont rely on their hairdryer unless you factor an extra 2 hours getting ready time...I think it was from 1985. The breakfast was good but was served in what i would describe as the staff canteen rather than a restaurant...oh and all the fitness facitlites cost extra! Overall a dissapointing hotel and I wont be returning.

I lost count of how many times I've chosen to stay at the St. Giles Hotel. It's perfectly positioned for enjoying London and I always make good use of the free access to the YMCA gym downstairs.

Very good location.We(my 73year old mother and I) travelled from Dublin to Stanstead to Liverpool street and then took the tube to Tottenhamcourt road..... soooo easy. Hotel V clean, breakfast V good and Staff v friendly. Great Value

Fantastic location within walking distance of all the central london attractions including China Town, Oxford Street, Regent Street, Leicester Square. Only one minute from the underground station. The hotel is very large and if you want a quiet room ask for a room on a high floor at the back of the hotel. We queued for breakfast for over half an hour - the breakfast room, although very large simply cannot cater for the 700 rooms at the hotel. If you are staying on a room only basis then it's better to buy breakfast elsewhere than pay the inflated price the hotel charge separately for this. Lots of options close by. Rooms were clean and we always use this hotel when in London.

I have stayed at this Hotel quite a few times. It is very convenient to Oxford Street shops and nightlife. Rooms are small but adequate and are very clean. Hot buffet breakfast is excellent.

I found my stay in St. Giles Hotel Central London wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was excellent from the cleaning staff to management.

St. Giles is an okey hotel if you like to stay inexpencive in a central location. The negative side of this hotel is the slow and inefficient staff at the reception, especially at weekend when all the tourists are checking in and out. Furthermore the breakfast hall is crowdy and there are more queing, and the rooms are very tiny (but clean) and smelly. You must buy candles with aroma to vanish the bad smell. The positive side is the location and the price, and the good selection of the breakfast. I don't know if I want to stay here again, but next time I will definitely go for a Radisson hotel in London.
