Felt safe. Wonderful room. Great location. Service was inconsistent. When good, it was very good, responsive and personalized. When not so good, it left us disappointed. Unfortunately, service from the non-English speaking staff was less good.

At reception I learnt my room had a leak into the bathroom & was so damp to be unuseable.I was offered another hotel The Mad HatterThis was 10 min walk away but was offered a paid taxi for the journey.Not happy as the The Sanctuary had been chosen for the nearby activities to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday.I thought it was a lie & asked to see the damp room.The receptionist looked worried.We were shown a room off reception.I asked where the water damage was, to be told Oh this isn't the room, I thought you just wanted to see one DOH!I asked to see my original allocated room & she left to consult her manager, whose message was it was impossible owing to health and safety regulations.Funny that these were being observed-there being H&S contravention as fire doors were propped open thoughout reception.The taxi took 25 mins to arrive & we went to the 2nd hotel.A complimentary chilled bottle of wine in a dry room helped to lessen the stress levels!

Brilliant location for top London sights : Houses of Parliament, The Eye, Thames etc. Quiet location when we were there - New Years Eve. Staff very friendly. Room good size, very clean and great facilities. Has pub/restaurant on ground floor with good wholesome food at good prices. We had a wonderful time and would go back again.

for the money paid, the very least they could do is include breakfast. i have been to hostels that compare to service, location, price and all the rest, but the simple fact that breakfast was included in the hostels is really what made the difference. this hotel in london sucked when it comes to breakfast, and customer service needs to be sorted out. by that i mean on making the customer feel that they got a fair deal for what they paid. i saw clients waiting at reception not looking happy

Very satisfied ,Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. An ideal location for all the sites in central London. Would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone. We will certainly be using the hotel again.
