When the Radisson Edwardian Vanderbilt Hotel opened in 1874 it was composed of several luxurious side-by-side properties. Today, a classical English façade reveals French interiors graced with beautiful ceiling frescoes, statues of Napoleon, original oil paintings, stained glass windows and a large fireplace. This hotel is a favorite among business and leisure travelers around the world.
215 guestrooms offer a traditional décor with crimson-colored carpeting, finely striped tapestries, polished wood furnishings and linens in warm tones. Bathrooms are in Italian marble. The 68-86 Bar & Restaurant, spotted with plants and featuring a coffee-colored décor, serves drinks until 2 in the morning. European dishes are served in the restaurant, decorated with parquet flooring, cinnamon-colored chairs and dark crimson walls.
The hotel is ideally located in the heart of stylish Kensington. This chic residential area is famous for its Palace, gardens and great museums in the south end - the Natural History Museum is two blocks away and the Victoria and Albert just three.
