Radisson Edwardian Bloomsbury Street Hotel

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in mid September as we were visting London to see The Lion King with our 2 children & my wife's parents for Max's 5th Birthday - show was excellent!

Arrived by train into Euston (early!) at just after 6pm. Short taxi ride to the hotel. Check in was good, very quick & no queues. We had 2 rooms; ours was 419 on the 4th floor, Karine's Mum & Dad's 219 on the 2nd. Pleasantly surprised to have a large room with double bed, cot & a sofa. Small bathroom, but big enough for 2 nights. Small TV, mini bar, safe & tea/coffee making facilities. Overall room fine - other room as good.

However, as other reviewers have said the rooms get very hot. There was a small fan, but no AC. It is also very noisy all night with a plethora of sounds including lots of sirens, but I suppose that is the trade off you pay for the location, as the location is excellent - 10 minute stroll to Covent Garden.

Breakfast ok & restaurant is air conditioned, which brings a little relief from the sweatbox like rooms.

We had a drink in the bar on the first night & were highly disappointed in the souless room with no atmsosphere.

Check out was quick & efficient. They kindly waived breakfast charges for Max & Sophia when I told them they had only eaten from our plates.

All in all, if you want a base in central London & don't want to spend any time in the hotel apart from sleeping then stay here.

Booked using lasmintute.com and got a hot shabby tiny room that overlooked the hotel's ventilation shafts.

As others have mentioned the location is good but I have stayed in far better hotels in this area.

The worst hotel i have ever stayed in and it cost £100! I would never stay here again or recommend it.

+ The location and the cleanliness are factors which lead me to book, in supplement I experienced an extraordinary friendly staff. Furthermore I adore the hotel's mixture of traditional and new barock style.
- It was tropically hot in our room. There is no air-condition in this hotel. The window was to small to let efficiently enough fresh air into the room (temperature outside like 17°). They provided a fan, but I'm a type of person who catches a cold when I'm sleeping with a fan directed at me. Due to this I had remarkable troubles to get to sleep.

I was wisked away by my husband for our wedding anniversary. We drove into London due to problems with the trains and parked in an NCP carpark it was on a side road next to the hotel so very close. As we walked into the lobby our bags were taken and we checked in although we arrived to early and the room was not available till later. The Staff were efficient and freindly. From the hotel you can easily walk to Covent Garden, Theatreland, Soho, Leiceseter Square, Oxford Street and the hotel is very close to the National Musuem. The room was small but traditionaly decorated to a good standard. However no air con but the fan supplied was adequate. Our only surprise was the 12.5% gratitiuity automatically added to a drink in the bar. I prefer to tip of my own accord. Overall we were pleased however I would not want to pay the full rate so its great if you can get a deal.

This is a smart and very nicely located hotel in the centre of London very near Covent Garden and Soho. The reception staff were very friendly and the room I had (rm 111) was nicely furnished and clean,Read more if a little on the small size.

I paid just under £70 for the room by getting a "secret value" deal of Lastminute which I think was very good value for a nice hotel in such a central location. The rate advertised on the hotel reception desk was £230 which I think would have been way too much
