Room was quite small, but central location made up for this. The square itself was very quiet at night time a huge advantage for a peaceful sleep. Hyde Park was only 400m from hotel which was nice.

Hotel was in great position, 5 min walk to Paddington Station & in quiet street. We had a Club Bedroom - newly updated & very clean but no air-conditioning. The room was extremely warm and airless. A electric fan was supplied which helped but they need air conditioning badly, especially for those summer months. Buffet breakfast was hearty and generally, hotel was very good value for money, especially in London.

The hotel beds had the most hardest mattress I have ever tryed in a Hotel, and recommended stay should not be more than one or two nights.

Although reception could have been friendlier, we would certainly stay at this hotel again. Room was small but we anticipated that it would be based on previous experience staying in London.

Did not realise they did not have air conditioning, however as I had a broken ankle (mishap while away) they were kind enough to give us a room with large window and great breeze - otherwise because we booked over internet they would have put us in a very hot/stuffy area - it was around 30 degree C. Prior to arrival I had emailed personally to them and requested a good room - waste of time. Every other hotel we booked through this website offered us a full English breakfast NOT this hotel - only a continental breakfast was given and not a good attitude when I asked about it - they just could not care less! The staff were very good (except the manager). Location was great - quiet and central.

I have stayed at this hotel once before & enjoyed it very much - hence my return a second time. I was not disappointed. The welcome is warm, the staff are excellent, & nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are quite small, but adequate although the central TV system seems to have a gremlin. In every other aspect the hotel is very good & customer service is high on the agenda. I normally book hotels on-line & the prices for this hotel seem to vary very widely.

This hotel has recently ceased providing a complimentary daily newspaper. Please note, my membership USDs for this stay (27-29 Nov 05) should have been credited. They have not yet appeared on my account.

The basic rooms are very, very small - smallest I've ever seen in a hotel of this class in London. We asked to be moved and were moved to a Club Room, which was the size of a normal small 3* London hotel. Apart from this, the hotel was quite staisfactory.

The hotel is in a lovely setting, in a quiet square just a block from Paddington tube and railway station.
