Very nice reception and breakfast area, but upstairs the rooms appeared not to have been re-furbished since the 1970's and the tiles were broken in the (tiny) shower. On the plus side, the staff were courteous, the breakfast was nice, and the heating was turned up high.

I was appalled at the state of the Family Room at the hotel. Holes in the ceiling tiles, paint flaking of the walls, warn-out carpeting but to name a few. The double room was fine as this had been refurbished. I complained at reception but all the refurbished rooms were taken and was told that all the Family rooms were in the same state. In my opinion these rooms are not in a saleable condition and should not be let until refurbished.

Truly a frightening looking room. Mirror in the bathroom was badly cracked, tiles were missing from the shower floor and wallpaper was peeling all over the room. Water stains on everything.

Location ideal, however the bedroom I was allocated, at the rear of the hotel needed refurbishment. Carpet badly worn and the decor was poor. At the price I expected better

The confirmation voucher I received from your service had a telephone number for the hotel - that wass not the telephone number for the hotel. When I tried to call the number to get directions to the hotel, I got an answering machine, and the next day, it was your service that called me back. The telephone number was apparently the number for your service, rather than that of the hotel. This should be corrected.

very tatty hotel not at all like brochure suggested! Broken and missing tiles in shower, toilet did not flush every time! Showerhead was attached by elastic band consequently did not work properly. Hairdryer hose had split so could not use it. Cocktail bar did not exist. Parking was £35.00 per day.

Would not recommend this to anyone. if this is a 3 star rating I would not want to be in a 4 star based ont the same rating system. Their description of the facilities gotten through your site is misleading to say the least. What more can I say.

The room was tiny (which we expected) but was greatly in need of some thorough scrubbing and TLC. The bed was probably the worst I have ever encountered. No drinking glasses, extra blankets or pillows. No extractor fan in the bathroom (is that not illegal) and no window. No place to hang a robe & no shelf in shower to place soap or personal items. Breakfast and dining room very good. I would not stay there again.

This hotel is a good choice for economy oriented visitors. It was quite satisfactory in every respect except the space given each room. Very small indeed, otherwise quite adequate in all other respects.

hotel run down.room very small,barely room for luggage,services poor,desk people know very little about hotel facilities,very limited storage space to store luggage in lobby,room still being repaired in late afternon of arrival, no hooks on doors or elsewhere to hang clothing.room so narrow that two people could not pass each other,few if any drawers. Not a pleasant place to stay.

This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The rooms were filthy and the staff were very unhelpful. We were given room 111 initially which was tiny, the width being the same as the length of the bed. The room we changed to wasn't cleaned during our stay of 3 nights. The location also meant that it was very noisy all night. This ruined our stay which was supposed to be a special time to celebrate our engagement. The photo/description is misleading
