Hotel located close to bus and rail station, shopping centre, promenade at the marina, and the oceanarium, which is well worth a visit. About ten minutes in a taxi takes you into the old town where there are an abundance of small shops, street restaurants, surrunded by ancient buildings with monuments to the great and the good from portugals past empire. Unfortunately the hotel restaraunt left a lot to be desired, the hot breakfast was useually cold, and the one evening my wife and I ate there the meal was instantly forgetable.

The hotel has a lot of space and wide corridors. The service is good and it is possible have the room to after 12:00 to a reasonable price.
