The breakfast was awful and not worth bothering with. Much better to consume a coffee and pastry next door. Otherwise this hotel is good value for money and in a great location.

I say the service is very bad, because on returning to my room after the maid had done the cleaning, the door to my room was open, and the maid had gone. This is inexcusable! I had my computer and other electronic devices in my room, and as this hotel is situated in the middle of the busiest part of the city, in the tourist area, anybody could walk straight in from the street. It was most disconcerting. I reported it to the hotel personel, but I will not take my chances and stay in this hotel again, where there is such slovenliness!

I would like to use this hotel again if I come back to Lisbon. It is in a really good location. You have so many places to have a nice breakfast nearby so it doesn't matter even if the breakfast in the hotel is bad. (I would say, don't bother to have a breakfast in the hotel and enjoy the nice breakfast and lovely coffee in the next doors. The hotel is in between the famous coffee shops.) As the hotel is on the rue Gallet, you can not avoide the noise of people at night but I think you can enjoy the vibe. You can feel really safe to walk around in the midnight on your own too. I have already recommended to all of my friends about this hotel.

Grumpy, terse staff were compensated by a clean, good sized room and the perfect location for visiting all the best parts of Lisbon with ease - and the price was very reasonable.

The location of this hotel is second to none regarding Lisbon, you pay for what you get definitely a no frills stay., but then again how long do you actually spend in a hotel, for great restaurants, and good Cubana bars within a short walking distance then go Borges.

This is a reasonable old fashioned hotel in a good location. Four drawbacks 1) almost nothing works in the rooms - air conditioning leaked constantly, shower was useless etc etc, 2) Parking is extremely expensive, 3) the location is such ( ie near metro station and nighclubs ) that it is impossible to get any sleep prior to 5.00am!!, 4) the breakfast is the worst ( ie a stale roll with jam ) in any of the hotels we stayed in. I could not recommend this hotel.
