My Hotel in France Levallois

Just come back from my 2 night stay at splendid hotel..

Not much to complain aboutbut there seemed to be a shower in my room, but nothing to hook it onto so i had to hold it while i was showering.

BathroomRead more was a little small, but had everything we needed.

Metro station is v.near which was handy also. A review i have recently read said they had been robbed in their hotel room, so rather than getting a safe for €50, i opted to carry round all my possesions while exploring Paris. Views are not spectacular, but i would stay here again if i was looking for a bargain holiday in Paris.

I am a reputable banker who enjoys travelling but no trip of mine can surpass this in being the most horrifying & traumatic experience ever!!! I unfortunately ended up in this HOTEL - not outta choice i must say but from lack of a better option when i searched the internet before my trip to make a booking. It was only after arriving in Paris i realised all the hotels i wanted to stay at were fully booked cos of the ongoing world cup rugby 2007 competition.

I checked in on friday, 21st sept after arriving from dubai with an evening flight where i had spent a fab 5days. The receptionist - Samir was nice & even commented on me having a lot of luggage & seeing we were the only ones at the reception, i told him my mum & i had just flown in from dubai where my mum & i had a lovely shopping experience, little did i know i was setting myself up for a truly traumatic & devastating experience!!!

My mum & i left the hotel around 10am the next morn to go shopping & got back to the hotel around 5:30pm. I collected the room key to 202 where we stayed from the receptionist as the hotel demands room keys should be deposited at the reception before leaving the hotel & i did that befor i left earlier. I got to my floor & used the key to open the door only to see all our boxes on the bed cut open with clothes scattered everywhere on the floor!!!

I quickly ran down & alerted the receptionist who followed me up to see the horror that welcomed me when we got in - that was when we quickly opened my handbag to discover our Euro3500 we had there was stolen!!! We were devastated & needed the police to be called in to appraise the crime scene as we refused to touch or tamper with evidence so as to aid the police in carrying out their investigation. As of that time, only the money & the Louis vuitton abbesses gab were discovered missing.

To my greatest shock, when i asked the receptionist to call the police, he said he wouldn't, telling me to go to the police station on my own to report??? He then proceeded to give me an address of the nearest station that ended up being a 25mins walk when i was finally left with no other choice.

After trekking for over 25mins till i finally located the police station, i narrated my ordeal to them & they accompanied me to the hotel to see the crime scene as well as ask the receptioniost some questions. since i understand no french, i really don't know what was asked or replied for that matter as no one was translating!!! They now asked that i go through my things & identify the lost items which i did - in addition to the Euro3500 & the LV bag that was discovered missing earlier, all the perfumes that i had bought at the dubai duty free at the airport on our way to paris totalling over Euro2000, my new sony vaio TX series top of the range laptop, my gold necklace & matching earrings which i had ordered & received a day to my departure from dubai, my 2 cerrutti shoes, my new nokia phone, my old iPOD nano as well as the new iPOD classic were all stolen among others!!!

We had an easyjet ticket for paris-milan together with the hotel accomodation fully pre-paid for on the 26th as we were meant to travel to milan on this trip which ended up being wasted as we were not able to travel again after this robbery incidence & all thses were non-refundable.

The hotel management handled this my horrifying case in a lax manner & made no effort to even appologize or help ease my plight instead telling me their insurrance company will get through to mine after they've investigated???

The instruction in the hotel is that guests should deposit their room keys at the reception - which we did & we found the key there when we got back & when we got to the room, the scattered clothes & torn open boxes were on made beds meaning the cleaners had been in the room prior to the robbery & since only hotel staff have 24hrs access to all the rooms, i'm still at a loss as to how come the hotel management was not able to interogate their staff on duty that day as well as examine the survellance camera they claim they have working 24hrs!!!

It has been over 10days since i left paris & yet nothing as little as an apology has ensued from the hotel management who definately have something to hide. As for justice - It will be served & abundantly so, as God is my withness!!! - Zeinab...

- the room should have tea and coffee making facilities
