Far from the crowds of Koh Samui's north-eastern coast, the Imperial Boat House is on the edge of Choeng on Beach, 7 kilometres from Chaweng, on the eastern coast, and 4 kilometres from the airport. Nathon, the main city of the island's west coast, is 30 kilometres away. Na Muang Falls, the Big Buddha, and the Grandpa & Grandma Rocks are a one-hour drive away.
The Imperial Boat House Hotel is a four-star business hotel located on the northern coast of Koh Samui, on Choeng Mon beach. The establishment's distinguishing characteristic are the teakwood rice barges imaginatively converted into luxurious suites "anchored" deep in lush tropical gardens. Built in 1990 on a vast area of level ground beside the sea, the Imperial Boat House is like new after its 2000 renovation.
The hotel has a total of 210 rooms: 165 Deluxe, 11 Poolside Terrace with direct access to the pool, and 34 private Boat Suites. They are decorated in mustard and green tones and have a large balcony and tiled bathroom with bathtub. Breakfast is served at the restaurant, Boat House Garden Terrace. The hotel also has a seafood restaurant on the beach. Three meeting rooms, furnished with all necessary equipment, can receive from 20 to 250 people.
