The Legend Hotel is in a good location and the staff are friendly and informative. The beds are comfortable and the room is neat and tidy, containing a TV, fridge (with minibar), hairdryer (in the bathroom), central heating and a split system airconditioner/heater. Unfortunately, we were able to hear the toilet and showering habits of the person in the next room. During our stay, the bar/reception and foyer area on the ground floor were being renovated. This resulted in all lounge seating being removed, the foyer smelling of paint fumes and the hot water not being turned back on several times (in February).

The hotel is easy walking distance to the Sultanamet and the tram, making it easy to explore all the major sites we wanted to see over 3 days on our own. They do offer tours for those interested. The staff stowed our things when we arrived too early to check in and when we were leaving hours after check-out, even inviting us to have breakfast on the morning we arrived. Our room was very clean and we had fresh towels and the beds made up each day, something not done many places in Turkey. It didn't have a great bathroom but the shower pressure was good.

Very friendly staff. Fantastic view from roof terrace, where breakfast is served. Almost all major sights in walking distance.

The hotel is tired and rundown. The rooms do not look like the photos. The bathroom shower very small and had mould in shower. Breakfast was average. The bar on top is very run down, however views are lovely. We expected to pay alot in Istanbul as it was Formula 1 weekend, however the price was way over the top. The people and service were excellent. Location also magnificent. This appears to be a 2 to 2 1/2 star hotel. At a lower rate, and if on a budget, it would still be worth visiting on location and service alone.

The hotel is a very nice, clean and comfortable hotel operated by very friendly and helpful people. Perfectly located in a quiet street in THE quarter of Istanbul.

Location is good, walking distance from Blue Mosque and Grand Bazar, but first room was overlooking narrow side street. Hardly any light came into the room, however was quiet. Very small double bed therefore we requested a larger room and bed. That we got, but on the busy street with lots of noise. We slept with earplugs in, otherwise no sleep. Breakfast is very very basic. Bread, tomatos, cucumber and jam. Some cerial and yoghurt. Undrinkable coffee and yellow water as orange juice. Can't recommend the place.

I would recommend this hotel in a minute. It is within easy walking distance from the major attractions and from the tram. Staff are extremely courteous and accomodating. It was very clean and very quiet.
