Beautiful hotel with superb large swimming pool. Staff very helpful and friendly. It is marvellous to see the sights in the morning and then come back to the hotel for lunch on the terrace followed by sunbathing and a dip in the pool. Located beside the Villa Borghese gardens and art museum so in a quiet location which I found a bonus. It is still easily accesible by a quick taxi ride to the centre. The rooms are fantastic, linen sheets, marble floors, jacuzzi tub. Definitely I would return to this hotel.
Truly a 5 star hotel. Expensive but all amenities are available. Our view of Rome was unbelievable. The park across the street from the hotel is grand. Spanish Steps are an easy walk. The Vatican is a cab ride.
I loved this hotel, beautiful with a 5 star staff...always greeted me by name...very nice! my second day the pool broke and they knew i stayed there for the pool, so they changed me to another 5 star hotelRead more at the same rate I LOVED THIS PLACE AND THE VIEW FROM MY ROOM OVER BORGHESE GARDENS AND ST. PETERS WAS HEAVENLYHide
A very well appointed hotel with efficient service and a good breakfast. A rather long walk (but a short cab ride) to the city centre. We will definitely stay here again.
This stay was for our honeymoon and really enjoyed the hotel, if I could find fault it would be with two issues. The first would be the location, it is not central to the main town and although the walkRead more through the park is pleasant it is some 20 mins to get there, which in the heat of the day can be testing. My second fault is the price, a tuna and tomato sandwich round the pool was 12 Euros, approx. 9 pounds, depending on exchange rate. Otherwise we really enjoyed the whole experience.Hide
It was a fantastic experience.
This was our first visit to Rome and we really wanted to be able to relax as well as see the sites so we picked this hotel because it had a pool, suites and was in the middle of the park. We were initiallyRead more worried it might be really far out but decided we'd take taxis everywhere if so. It lived up to all it promised and more. The most memorable things were the staff and the beautiful quiteness in a city known for it's noise. First the staff - the could not do enough for us and it was with such a friendly, fun, professional attitude. For example the pool attendant lent us his sun tan cream, the front desk said they would arrange dinner for us if we told them what kind of evening we fancied, the waiter opened up a private area on the terrace for us for breakfast. None of this was too much trouble in fact they seemed to love making us happy. Next the surroundings. It was beautifully quiet with a gorgeous terrace and pool. The setting in the park was lovely and we woke up to the most amazing view all the way through the park to St Peter's from our bed. Finally the location. Well, first there's a half hour shuttle to and from the Spanish Steps until about 7pm every night. Second, blimey it's not that far - it's probably a mile or two (that the taxi was 5 euros should give you an idea) and frankly it was lovely to return to the hotel and escape central Rome. I would liken it to the distance from St Johns Wood to central London. So overall, yes, go here - you'll love it as we certainly did. We are definitely going back.Hide
super duplex Room was luxurious as was the hotel, expensive but well worth the extra for comfort and quality service. Excellent restaurant, location quiet but good for commuting to central locations inRead more minutes. would highly recommend for those willing to pay for that "little bit extra".Hide
This hotel is a beautiful place to stay while in Rome. It is in a quiet area right on the Villa Borghese but still close enough to all of the major attractions -- making sight-seeing easy and convenient.Read more Although not typically a "family" place to stay, the GHPP staff was friendly and welcoming to our daughter (9) who loved the pool and the beautiful gardens. The only short fall was the fitness center which is small, dark and in need of equipment updates -- though it is very easy and enjoyable to go for a run in the nearby Borghese gardens. Overall, we were very impressed with this elegant (but not stuffy hotel) and would definitely return the next time we are in Rome.Hide
Outstanding property. The photos on the web page do not do it justice. The entire staff was very accomodating and helpful.
