An excellent no frills city centre hotel directly opposite the bus and main train station. The rooms were huge and the breakfast was everything we could have asked for. No shampoo, shower gel etc., but then who needs them?? First class value for money.

The hotel is located close to railway- and busstation witch good. There is also a shoppingarea nearby och the subway just outside the entrance. The hotelbreakfast was very good but dinner is not served and ther is´nt any bar or pub. In my opinion Graf Moltke is a quite good budget hotel witch I can recomend. Steve Franzén, Sweden

A very pleasant, clean, warm.....(important with -3' outside), hotel with excellent modern bathrooms, plenty of hot water, and decent pressure on the shower. The only problem we encountered was, on arrival, being given a very small room two tiny single beds suitable only for children. However with little fuss or complaint from the staff we were quickly moved to a much more spacious one with a decent double bed.

Central part of Hamburg is divided by railway. On glamorous side is main shopping street Monkebergstrasse, City Hall, Jungfernstieg, etc. Less glamourous is the side where Hotel Graf Moltke is. Good thing is that it is so close to railway station and other side. Also subway station is just in front of it. But - automatic casino on the ground floor atracts also not so nice folks. And going through railway station can be like crossing russian or turkish gangland.

Ideally situated just around the corner from the main railway station (where the airport coach stops) and bus station. Only a few minutes walk into the main shopping area. Two stops on the U-bahn to CCH, the Hamburg exhibition centre. Breakfast is good. Some nice restaurants just around the corner.

Centrally located this hotel is ideal for those travelling by bus or train as is midway both city terminals. Rooms basic but clean. No public areas or bar make socialising impossible.

Good location close to the Hamburg Central Station. Bad location because of the prostitutes awaiting customers just outside the hotel, but on the other hand they were in no way pushy so they really didn´t bother you.

Due to its proximity to the main train station the out the door loiterers are not the most savory of characters. A room on the front side with the window open will be awoken at 5:30 am by the street sweeper and trash retrieval.

Well located next to the train station. Overcrowded. There was no place in the dining room to have breakfast in the morning. So, I decided to have breakfast somewhere else. The carpet in the rooms was really smelly. The building is nice from the outside. The stairs are wide and comfortable to ride (the lift is of no use given the amount of guests per floor which makes it again overcrowded). The service is gentle and attentive. The vicinity with the red-light district was not a real trouble.

It is (like most other German Hotels) an old hotel, so it has 'style', but no modern sphere. Very close (approx 80 mtrs) walking (5 minutes) from the front of the Main Train Station. The Hotel area is at the beginning of a bad neighbourbood, but that will give no inconvenience. The rooms at the street are noisy when haviing your window open.

The hotel was good, with an excellent breakfast buffet (one of the best I've seen for 3-star hotels) However, they got our booking wrong, by giving us a twin room (two single beds) when we booked a double room (one double bed).

My friends and I were pleased with the hotel. The building is a little old and rickety, but everything works, the staff is nice, the breakfast was good, and the location (right outside of the Hauptbahnhof) is unbeatable.

Centrally located, but in unsafe area in the red light district. Hotel definitely has seen better days, rooms are acceptable, breakfast buffet is rather poor.
