This hotel is excellent, fantastic service and facilities, and only 10 minutes' walk away from Hamburg's old town. I thought that breakfast was included in the price, but found out that its not, which adds an extra €18 to each breakfast. However, all-in-all it's difficult to beat this.

For the price I got from HotelClub, this hotel was definitely worth it. Everything inside the hotel was beautiful, tasteful, clean, and first-class. The service was excellent, though since I used my (limited) German, I cannot comment about the staff's English. We also did not try the hotel restaurants, though we did sit in the lobby and enjoy the live jazz music in the evening. The location is very convenient from one of the train stations (not the main station, but one that our ICE train also stopped at), and is also nice for walking around town. My only negative comment is that while the hotel was a nice vacation for us, it was also like staying in a bubble -- I felt removed from the real part of Hamburg. This can be good or bad, depending on what you are looking for. If you are really trying to experience Germany, you may be better off at a much smaller place, where you will have less professional, but more personal, service.
