Lovely hotel, great ambience, great personnel, great bar....historic, the kind of place you dont see every day...compares to the Adlon in Berlin. This was my third stay in Hamburg and this one was by far the best. The hotel caters to people who expect greatness and it certainly delivered. I had no idea that the Savoy in London is owned by Fairmont ...that is another favorite.

This was a very enjoyable two nights. The hotel itself is excellent, and in a great spot for exploring Hamburg. The rooms are good, the service is great. For a treat, visit the Grill Restaurant - it's expensive but worth every euro cent.

I missed small bottles of strong liquoir in minibar, since I got little cold I would have preferred a little vodka as a nightcup rather than champagne. I also did not find it in the menu. Anyway hotel was excellent and I wish to come again! Thanks!
