If you need a cheap option in Granada then this is OK, but it's definately a no plug in the sink type hostel and I wish I'd spent longer searching for a more expensive place in truth. The location just outside the Alhambra entrance is a bonus until you realise that after 6 o'clock there's little open in the vicinity. The 10 minute walk down the steep hill is fine, but you've always got to get back up! Small buses run very regularly but I don't know what time they stop. Entance to the hotel is spectacularly gloomy.

Location was very good. The walk up from Plaza Nueve in the evening was very pleasant. The people were nice and serviceable. We stayed there a week, and there was no seevice in the room during this time. No changing of bedlinen, towels or emptying of trash, or any cleaning. At the price we paid - 36 euro a night - we got a lot of better service at other hostels in Spain during almost 4 weeks travelling. Okay, but location has to make up for service…

The hostal was being renovated while I was there so it was often impossible to find staff to deal with mere guests. However, I can't imagine a better location for anyone who comes to see the Alhambra: it's right opposite the site while most other tourists have to catch a bus from the densely-popuilated city below, or walk up a long, steep hill. Although you had to pay extra for breakfast, you had a choice of big, flakey pastries — well worth it!

Not for fastidious people! Basic hostel for basic prices. The portier doesn't speak English at all, is very unfriendly ( even if you try to communicate in Spanish- OK, i must admit my level of Spanish knowledge is as low as the overall standards of this hostel :))). The room we stayed in looked like a cell in a fortress's prison- small room with a tiny lattice window with two two-storey iron beds ( I booked a room with double bed). Advantage: own bath.

The hotel does not have an in-house restaurant where one can eat. Additionally, there is no television in the room. No soap and other toilet articles were also provided.

The hotel is just in front of Alhambra entrance, and you can take a hop-on/hop-off bus as well.

Management was VERY disorganized. Often there wasn't anybody at the front desk. Although they appeared clean, there was a sewer type smell coming from either the toilet or shower.

Roof top sun lounger area particularly good, small pool attractive. Day staff spoke English and were helpful.

Hello, The Dona lupa pension is a very nice place to stay. The people are verry kind and help you with everything. The rooms are big and clean and they have also a terrace with swimming pool on the roof. Conclusion, this pension is a perfect place to stay and it don't take all your vacation budget!!

hotel did not provide basics such as towels. W.C and shower was really bad. Rooms are not ventilated and always dark. Web site should give better info on this.

Lousy hostal, but great location for visiting Alhambra. Furthermore, hotel had 35% better prices than Hotelclub offered and that I paid.
