Excellent hotel if you are planning on visiting the Al Hambra (5 mins walk to the entrance). Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff were very helpful and spoke perfect English. A bus ride into Granada costs 1 Euro. I would definitely stay at this place again if ever I were to return to the Al Hambra.

Excellent location for visiting the Alhambra which is right opposite. Also it is an easy walk down into town to see the rest of Granada or take a minibus from outside the Alhambra gate for 1 Euro (good for getting you back up the hill after dinner). Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet had plenty of choice. Restaurant and bar prices very reasonable. Car parking in the Alhambra lot across the street.

Very convenient for entry to the Alhambra. Nice pool. Friendly staff, very helpful and patience with our limited Spanish. We were able to use the hotel garage but it is limited to maybe a half dozen cars. But the Alhambra parking is directly across the street and the price the same for hotel guests.

All receptionest was interested was pushing a guided tour of palace for E40 it cost E10 for an unguided tour. At at night in hotel paid for a meal I could not eat. Waiter said a la carte was better than self service it was discusting 1 * room very drab 1* cheap timber floor bed comfortable bathroom good but ceiling was a disgrace 1 * Breakfast OK no effort with presentation

The hotel is outside Granada and can only be reached by car, on a short exit from a highway. The airco did not work properly and can not be adjusted for each room separately.

Ideal location for the Alhambra, helpful staff, good room and breakfast and reasonably priced in comparison with this type of tourist hotel. Highly recommended.

it really to my surprise. i booked with HotelClub more than 1 week before arriving Alixares, and they cant even book a double bed for me and my boyfriend. what they can offer is a 2 single bed together (twin bed), as if everybody who visit Espana is an OLD COUPLE, no newly wed like us.. room rate in the hotel stated 110euro for single occupancy & 160euro for double, i got 74euro for double and its a very good deal. but because of the staff (name Manuel in the reception area & another one acting like manager, but he's not), saying that nothing they can do. they said booking with internet have lower priority from booking direct to them, so, they didnt keep any double room for us. finally we cancelled our booking and stay at the next door hotel, for 69euro for double ~ Hotel Guadalupe. Much much better~!

Lovely hotel, staff very helpful, facilities good and lovely views of Granada from the back of hotel. Make sure you ask for an outside room, those around the courtyard very small. At the top of hill right next to Alambra, walk down to town steep but through beautiful park. Breakfast buffet superb value for money but need to avoid some of the less popular food as it stays under hot lights in large quantities. Evening buffet not so good - bland, repetitive and fast food type. Staff not keen to serve non buffet food even though its advertised as available. Overall - lovely would recommend

Overlooking the Generalife Gardens. Superb location--5 minute walk to upper entrance of the Alhambra. Quiet area, but easy local bus access into Granada. Hot breakfast offered wonderful variety. Great room with great discount offered through [your website]

I chose this hotel as I wanted to visit the Alhambra Palace but also have a chance to see the centre of Granada but without having to drive into the citry centre. The Alixares was absolutely perfect for this - right opposite the main Alhambra car park (for which you got a slight discount on the parking charges through the hotel), and just a short walk from the bus stops where you could either pay 1 euro to go down into Granada centre or pick up the official hop-on hop-off tour bus. The choice of food provided for the inclusive buffet breakfast was extensive, although temperatures of hot items could have been hotter. For a good value, no frills one or two night stay, I would highly recommend the Alixares.

Great location for visiting the Alhambra (most of all for the night visit): it's only a few steps away. Less good for the city center, but you actually have a bus every 5 minutes to get down. Rooms are big, clean and very quiet. Wonderful buffet breakfast, with cold and hot dishes, sweet and salad to choose from. Overall, a great stay!

Good location for visiting the Alhambra though 15-20 minutes walk to the centre down hill but up hill comming back. You can get the Alhambra bus but last bus is quite early so if you want to stay our late be prepared for a walk. ( I lost 2 kilos in 5 days)!!!!!!!! Nice room, good breakfast too. Would stay there again and would recommend it to friends but beware of the steep walk back from town.
