The hotel is satisfactory. However, who wants merely satisfactory? Even budget hotels in Asia are better at providing service - for example laundry at weekends, irons in the rooms, welcome amenities, etc. which are all lacking here. Vastly over priced - the Shangri-La Singapore provides unlimited Champagne in its Valley Wing for a lower price. The location is good and the staff are friendly which are the only things saving the hotel from total black listing.

Extremely overpriced telephone and other extras. Avoid using any services other that pre-paid room.

Concierge, bellboy and others are completely understand what the hotel should be, as well as the customers expect to the hotel. I hope that this tradition will continue this century also. I once caught a glimpse of a rat running at the Bar when I tasted a glass of Riesling. No matter whether it was a pet of the hotel, some guest may feel weird.

We were very happy with this Hotel and found the staff extremely helpful. The breakfast buffet was brilliant as you had a wide choice of hot food, cereals, croissants etc. We really couldn't fault the Hotel, staff or facilities in any way and the location was perfect for walking the very short distance to the Christmas Fair and the main shopping area. We would definitely stay in the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof Hotel again.
