Very close to the train station which is convienent, however the area is rather dicey at night. Toilet was very smelly, but the rest of the room was quite clean. Free mini bar and internet is a bonus.

Tour of the Rhine river is easily arranged through the front desk. Tour Bus pick up area a short walk from hotel. The Zeil shopping area is about a twenty minute walk from hotel. Catch the train directly from airport and go to Frankfurt Main Train Station ( Hauptbanhoff).The Excelsior Hotel is directly across the street from the Frankfurt Main Train Station.

an Excellent Hotel...I think you must say on the page that it's in front of Haupbainof, because of the train from the airport...in 3 stops you are in the Hotel!! really excellent hotel.

It is in front of the train station and about 20 minuts walking from the city center.There is a "bad" area arround the hotel but just walk for another strret and that's enought. The rooms are ok,with free mini-bar and a FANTASTIC BREAKFAST. Good choice to go to Frankfurt,good relationship price/quality/situacion

Hotel is within steps from the train station, so it is very convenient for just an overnight stay. Free (super-tiny and barely cool) mini-bar consisted of 2 horrible beers, 2 small bottles of orange juice, 2 Pepsi's, and 3 bottles of water. It is on a busy street and very noisy. No AC or any way to circulate air without opening door to small balcony. Room was very hot and stuffy with the door closed. Bunk bed for children squeaked loudly with every movement. Room and bathroom were clean, but carpet was stained and dirty-looking. We walked over to the train station to eat dinner which had a huge selection of fast food restaurants, cafeterias, and food stands. Breakfast was an enormous selection of food with the best coffee we had in Europe. Several free computers to use in the business center. Large lobby area. Efficient front desk clerk.

Across the road from railway station. Has taxi and tram lines very close by. Clean neat room. Friendly helpful service. Good breakfast. Close to city centre and tourist sites. Accomodated my family. Would definitely stay here again.

Right opposite main train station and easy access to city centre by tram, bus or walking. Offer a lovely breakfast with clean rooms. Very helpful staff. Stayed comfortablly with my family of 5. We would most definitely stay at this hotel again.

We stayed in Frankfort at the end of our trip during the first week of May 2007. We had a car to drop off at the airport before we went to the hotel. As the hotel is right across the street from the main train terminal, it was perfect for our needs. Also, we appreciated the 24 hr. coffee in the lobby and as we used the free internet in a large separate room. There were several computers available. Watch out for the keyboard if you are not German. The keys are ease of German typing. The check-in staff was eager to please and would find someone to speak your language. The hotel caters to an international clientel, which made the complimentary breakfast quite sumptuous and with a lot of variety. Our room and furnishings were typically European in size. The WC was the smallest we had been in on our trip and had a shower only (small, small, small...wouldn't be able to conserve water by showering with a friend). The room was clean and quiet. There is a lift/elevator. You can book a bus city tour from the destk that gives you a nice overview of its history and interesting sites, and it is just around the corner from the hotel. A person will come to the hotel and walk the short distance to the supplier. Other tours can be booked through the desk, also. However, we found that booking our Rhine River Cruise was much less expensive by taking the train to and from the launch sites.
