The Villino La Magnolia was so very welcoming and helpful that we really felt we were important and wanted. The rooms were clean, we were shown round all the facilities with a smile, and this attitude was kept up throughout our stay - nothing seemed to be too much trouble even when we felt we were being a nuisance. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of fresh fruit on offer and fresh bread or toast, but also a little bowl of special fruit concoction that our Hostess had put together. The terrace is a lovely feature of the Villino La Magnolia and it is very pleasant to sit there in the quiet at the end of the day before the rush of getting ready to go out for a meal. Bernardo and Elizabeth are to be congratulated for running such a lovely establishment.

Best B&B on my trip through Italy. The hotel is in a renovated lovely old home furnished with renaissance antiques and art. My room was actually a full suite in the attic. It had exposed beams and a loft. Bernardo and Elizabetha are helpful and make every effort to make their guests happy. There are plenty of common areas to allow guests to visit (patio, garden, breakfast room and living room) B&B is staffed 24 hours a day. Easy access from train station across the street. Removed from tourist areas, but local buses are convenient. Florence is very easy to navigate by bicycle or by car. Dining options near the hotel are limited.

Villa la Magnolia is situated about a 20 minute walk from the Duomo and close to the Campo de Mart train station. The owners made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. The Breakfast was excellent. We all enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would recommend it.

We booked a three-day stay in Florence at Villino La Magnolia and we enjoyed every minute!The rooms are beautiful, furnished with antiques and the ambiance is very nice.Elisabetta and Bernardo are very good hosts and they give you good information about restaurants,transport,where to go to etc.The Villino is located in a quiet part of Firenze,easy to go from the historic center by bus,train(5 minutes from SMN station)or on foot There are several nice restaurants on walking distance ,for example Perseus; But don't miss Ristorante Bocaccio(via Bocaccio 35)Top Food for Normal prices (smart to make a reservation)

This B&B is a little out of the way but the station is down the street & you can take the train into the main station at no cost. The B&B is immaculate & the breakfast very good. My only complaint was that altho towels were changed every day, we couldn't get a new bath towel sooner than 3 days or you paid for it. The couple running it are very welcoming & I do recommend this B&B. We just returned from Italy.

We chose this hotel as we wanted to go to the football. For this the location was excellent. HOwever, it takes around 20 minutes to walk to the city centre. The hotel itself is lovely. The staff are happy to help and offer advice in english or italian. Avoid if you dislike dogs (although they are friendly)

The hotel is lovely but it's the owners who made Villino Magnolia a gem. Elizabeth (I don't know how to spell her name in Italian), Giovanni & Bernardo went out of their way to make us feel welcome, provide for our needs and help us enjoy our visit to their beautiful city. The hotel is located across the street from Campo di Marte train station (you can hear trains if you listen carefully but we were not disturbed by train noise ... or any other noise, for that matter) and around the corner from a bus stop that will take you on a liesurely tour of Florence as well as get you to the center of the city. Villino La Magnolia is a wonderful place to stay in Florence. The rooms are well-equipped with modern fixtures and retain an old world charm. The large patio and garden are wonderful places to relax after a day of crowds. The hotel is clean, comfortable, quiet, well-maintained, pleasing to the eye and, best of all, owned & operated by people who treat their guests as friends and do their best to help them enjoy their stay in Florence. In addition to the trains & buses that are close at hand, the city center is only about a 20-30 minute walk from the hotel. Elizabeth et al will provide you with a map and clear directions to anywhere in the city you'd like to walk. She even told us where to find a self-service laundry. We are very glad to have found Villino La Magniola, it was an oasis of serenity in a sea of noise & frenetic activity.

My wife and I spent a very enjoyable 3 nights at Villino La Magnolia last month. The owners made us feel very welcome and provided us with a friendly & personal service that is so hard to find these days. They were kind enough to give us a detailed map of Florence, and spent time giving us clear directions to all of the best sights and restaurants. The Rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet – the building is situated in a relatively quiet area of the City, but still only 10 minutes walk from the major attractions. Overall, Villino La Magnolia exceeded our expectations. We have already recommended the place to our friends, and certainly plan to stay there again in the future.

Nice accommodation with lots of character but further from city centre than description suggests. On our 3 night visit hotel was being run by only the owners son who coped fairly well. Not easy to park nearby, we had to pay to leave car on a secure underground car park. Would recommend for a short stay.
