Staff were excellent (bar staff slightly less so). One of our rooms wasn't ready for us when we arrived which was a nuisance. For the rating and price of the room we felt that there was a very slight faded feel (dirty marks around light switches etc). Picky, but at those prices, why not? Overall maybe a bit old-fashioned and stuffy for our taste....

Excellent hotel--excellent location. We could walk to everything. The staff was very customer oriented and very warm and friendly. Our room overlooked the Arno River and was great. We used the concierge desk extensively and they were able to get advance tickets to all the sights--several of which we would not have been able to visit due to being sold out. The hotel was very pricey--but most hotels in this category are similarly priced. Would definitely stay here again on a future trip.

For a 5* Luxury hotel we were disappointed that there were no in-room tea/coffee making facilities. In addition, and perhaps because breakfast is not included in the room rate, the choice of food at breakfast was not as good as we had expected and the service was poor.
