We enjoyed our stay here. We walked everywhere from this hotel. The staff was excellant. They told us the night we arrived we could get into the Accademia for free. This was a great tip, which we took advantage of. The breakfast was good. It even had eggs. The only place that did serve us eggs on our 3 week vacation. They are going to be getting an internet hookup soon, as the computer was there for it. We asked and they said they would be getting this. The room was huge and the air conditioner worked well. The bathroom was real tiny, but we didn't mind. There was a great restaurant we ate at close by, Osteria Belle Donne. It makes its pasta from scratch. Right around the corner. We would definitely stay here again.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The room was small, but had its own bathroom, bed and desk -- all we needed for a two night stay in Florence. Good selection at the free daily breakfast. Very clean room. Our room was on the side facing the street, which got a bit noisy at night, as there is a bar directly downstairs. Also, the bathroom in our room was small...but workable. Overall -- a very good value. We would stay here again.

Close to railway station (Santa Maria Novella)close also within a walking distance to Pontevecchio , Galeria Ufizzi , Palazzo Strozzi...Breakfast not bad but coffee was really bad (american style) I prefer strong coffee , expresso or turkish.I thing price/quality was just , good welcome , we were presented principal sites to see , rooms they had names : COLLODI , PONTE DE LA MADDDALENA...etc.It was worth it !

We arrived Toscana after staying in the five star hotels at Rome and Venice.At once we felt that Claudia is our friendly caretaker. She , Flavio and Julian all are very co-operative. Breakfast was a good help and well managed. Location is very convinient. We were glad to be there and would like to be there again. It is a best compromise between thrifty hotels and comfort.

We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Toscana. We arrived by train and walked to the hotel in just under five minutes. The location really is ideal for walking around the city - everything is only minutes away by foot. Due to good double glazing there was no noise to be heard from the street at night and even though some very noisy guests kept us awake on the first night, the other two were quiet. Remote controlled air conditioning did it's job well. Breakfast was lovely. We would definitely recommend this hotel and stay again.

Hotel is situated rally in downtown Florence. It's not easy without navigation system to get the right one between hundreds of one way streets. We were glad to meet in the hotel the first really english speaking Italians after 3 days. Kind staff, well organized parking (reservation seems to be recommended). Quadruple room let space enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Pictured room in the net was better furnished but all in all it was ok. For an Italian breakfast breakfast was very well.

If you want a cheaper hotel within minutes of the train station and indeed all of Florence's more memorable sites then this is a good place to stay. The staff is wonderfully friendly and the breakfast very good. On the other hand, the rooms are a bit small and the bathrooms, though spotlessly clean, could do with some rearrangement as they are cramped and shower water can spill over. Nevertheless, a good budget place at a great location.
