Fantastic hotel - spacious appealing rooms. Great service. Nice reasonable breakfast with great staff. Location is on the northern outskirts but still definitely within walking distance to the major attractions.

A little wary of horror stories regarding cleanliness of bathroom facilities in Italy, I was pleasantly surprised by the higenic standards of the room. HOWEVER, there was a problem with hot water one morning of two I was there, and not only did the staff neglect to tell anyone, but it was useless ringing the front desk because no-one was there to answer. This resulted in a strong delay and my missing a tour I had reserved, which made me extremely unhappy. On the off-chance I called the operator and she informed me of the situation - otherwise I would have been left hanging. However, the staff were very helpful in arranging activities for me, which was much appreciated.

We had a very pleasent stay at the Fortezza and would reccomend it to others. The only small thing we would like to have seen is fresh fruit at breakfast.

The Hotel is very conviniently located very close to Florence SMN, the Rooms are great, with well stacked mini-bar (chargable), Clean bathroom, good lounge with tea & coffee service, and decent breakfast in the morning, most of all the staff are most helpful, willing to guide. We have been very happy with our stay at La Fortezza Hotel Florence.

Nice, clean hotel. Great value. If the air conditioning doesn't work, then you'll be eaten alive by mosquitoes. Our air conditioner had some issues and they had to give us a plug-in device. Also, they charge for internet use even though an employee told me it was free of charge when I inquired. Having internet access in your hotel room is a nice bonus though!

Hotel was excellent, it is situated a short walk (10-15mins) from Main Railway station (SMN). We arrived late (from Florence Airport) at night and after being dropped by bus at SMN we walked to hotel. Difficult to find in dark, the street sign Via G Milton not very clear, also confusing as a sign also says Largo..... at entrance to street. Via Milton is imediately before bridge across river on right. No complaints at all with hotel itself, clean, staff friendly, breakfast adequate.

We can wholeheartedly recommend a stay here. Another bonus is that it is in a relatively quiet part of Florence which is a blessing after a busy day. From the first view into the marbled entrance to the excellent bright decor in the bedrooms we struggled to fault with anything and customer service was second to none. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Thanks go to all.

Comfortable, clean room with reasonable pricing. Location is 10 minutes walking distance from train station and 15 minutes walking from historic center. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

Trendy decor, European styling along with quiet, helpful staff. Not in the heart of the touurist area so a bit of walking required.
