Basic hotel, maybe need some refurbishment but an overall very good price/quality ratio. At the 3rd floor in an old building, entrance a little bit disappointing but hotel and room ok. Quite close to the center of town (5-10 minutes walk from the Duomo). Friendly reception staff.

DO not even try and attempt to use the map given to get there. if you dont know florence you are bound to get lost. The location is resasonable, close to a lot of the sights. Room however was very dirty, with scuffed walls and the bed cover was covered with stains. The breakfast was quite good and the staff were helpful. Also to top it off, my shower was flooding over into the bedroom. My best comparison of the room would be the same as an old public hotpital. Also the stairsa were a lot worse than i thought. i have stgayed in better backpacker places that this at a third of the price, but then again ive also stayed in 5 star hotels in vietnam for less money too. it seemed to be the same all around italy thought, very expensive for very little.

We have stayed in Florence numerous times over the last ten years and are frequent travelers in Italy for extended periods of time. This hotel was filthy and we would not recommend to anyone.

The hotel is very modest, but for four people you can't beat the price. Plus, it was within walking distance of all the beauty, charm, and main sites of Florence. We didn't need a car, bus, or taxi once! The breakfast provided was very nice especially for a cold breakfast (a lot of carbs). The staff couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. Ricardo, who worked the afternoons and evenings, was a wealth of information, and spoke very good English. Both men on staff gave us great directions, information on the sites to see, and map directions-these proved invaluable. We also lucked out and hit Florence during Europa week when all the museums in Florence were free! The only downside was the lines. We absolutely loved Florence and would stay here again because of the great people. My only complaint would be that our bathroom had this strange sewer smell at times. However, they were working on buildings next door, and maybe that had something to do with it, because the room was very clean, as was the bathroom.

Our room was definitely one of the largest we had stayed at, but it did not look as nice as the pictures showed. But nonetheless, we still had a good day. There is a minimal breakfast, and I wouldn't call the walk from the train station a "few minutes." It actually seems quite long when you are dragging around your luggage on the busy streets of Florence, so I would recommend taking a bus. The staff were very nice and helpful!

This is one great Hotel for the price , just such a pity that the entrance to the building and the stairway looks a bit tatty. Once you enter the door of the Colorado It is clean and excellent in every way. Only thing lacking is some way of making a cup of tea or coffee at night.

It was a great place to stay, the owner was fantastic, nice breakfast, clean rooms a bit rustic but fine. Very near everything in Firenze, we would recomend this hotel. Very good value for money.
