It is a brand new hotel inside an old building. The breakfast was particularly good. Clean. It is a bit of a walk to the railroad station, but it is ok if you have a backpack or other light luggage. The location is great but the immediate neighborhood shows age, but of course it is an old city.

Upon arrival we were very pleased to have our room upgraded. The room was quiet and smoke free as per our request. The location of this hotel was in the center of everything most tourists would wish to walk to in Florence. Breakfast was more than adequate. The hotel reception was on the second floor and the elevator was tiny. Be aware that the main doors were locked after 9:30 PM so we had to be buzzed in. We would happily stay at this hotel again and again.

Hotel Centrale was very nice. We had a triple and there was plenty of room. The staff was very helpful. The hotel is very close to the Duomo and other attractions.

Lovely hotel and thankfully a lift as it starts on the 2nd floor. Grand staircase takes you up to the reception which is bright and welcoming. Free internet. Sitting room with tv, couches and chess board. Breakfast area can be very busy but lots to offer. Husbands only complaint was about the orange juice - not enough. Our room was bright and very nice. Bathroom was a great size and of high quality. Just round the corner from the Duomo.

Really great to be in such a central location. The rooms are fine - mid-size, clean, airy and fresh. Buffet breakfasts had a good selection that varied a bit each day. They have a PC with free web access in the lobby - useful. Room one can be noisy at night, with some sort of fan behind the wall. Overall - great value for a place right in the middle of town.

An outstanding hotel with all of the amenities needed, right in the centre of the city but a block back from the main arteries so noise is minimised. Very clean. The best of the seven hotels we stayed in in Italy. Three mins to the Duomo and tour operators, one to the markets and five from the train station. Wonderful helpful English speaking staff, free internet, great breakfast. Separate lounge area is handy. Very secure. Directions to the hotel start from within the station so be a little careful. Would definitely staff again.
