Enjoyable stay in a nice location. Nice park nearby. Not too hard to walk from station, though sidewalks narrow. Great fun with the counter staff - nice people. Good and helpful assistance. Comfortbale room, facilities all worked. Great brekky.

Excellent location. 10 mins walk from SMN train station and 10 mins walk from Duomo, San Marco and Accademmia. Perfect for exploring Florence on foot. Great trattoria and restaurants nearby. Room was a good size, quiet and immaculately clean. Breakfast is basic (fresh pastries, cereal, ham, boiled eggs and fruit) but more than adequate. Staff all speak great English, are very friendly and extremely helpful. The surrounding area is safe to walk around in at night (as we did every night). Would definitely stay here again

hotel was a bit further from the Stazione than was indicated, but it was beautifully located on the Piazza del Republica. The service was excellent and the room was quiet and clean. we would definitely stay here again.

We were very pleased with this as a city centre hotel it was clean, welcoming and ideally situated. There is a very pleasant, small, courtyard garden - ideal for evening drinks from the hotel bar. The restaurant next door has a 'secret garden' for dining in and is excellent. Both the hotel and the restaurant were oasis of calm and quiet in what is a very busy city.

The staff were very helpful making good recommendations for restaurants, giving directions and in trying to book tickets for the museums. The rooms were however quite small and not especially quiet but they were clean and comfortable; ideal for a short break. The hotel is in an excellent location, near to the railway station and market and only a 15 minute stroll from most attractions.

At first the room we were given was too small,not called a basic but that was what it was. We up-graded for 10 euros more each day and that was fine. Very central for station, and shops in the street were numerous and good quality. Would recommend this hotel. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was delicious. Spotless; run by women!

We stayed in Florence for three nights before driving through Tuscany, it was our first visit to the city. The hotel's location was fantastic, the views spectacular and the staff were also excellent. I highly recommend anyone to stay here, we found it to be good value for money too.

This was our first stay at Hotel Caravaggio. The breakfast was the best we had during our entire stay in Italy. For the breakfast alone the Caravggio is worth staying at. Its a proper wholesome, filling breakfast. The bathroom was very clean and staff were helpful. We booked a triple room and the room was much bigger than expected. On the downside though - our view was rather dismal. Everything was in walking distance from the hotel. The hotel caters to all needs - my parents are elderly and I'm 27 - and we were all most happy with the hotel. The Santa Maria Novella train station is within walking distance.
