Visited Florence and stayed at the Fenice Palace Hotel on the 24th of October 2007. Location was great and room was comfortable. Breakfast room rather dull and the bathroom was not worthy of a four star hotel. Overall was an average hotel

This is the fourth time I have stayed in this hotel. It is very well located for any of the wonderful things that you can do in Florence. The breakfast is adequate; the room is kept clean and is adequate although can be oddly shaped and a bit cramped; the staff is always helpful and ever-present. There is no garden or patio, but there is some space to lounge around in the bar area. One of the elevators has always a somewhat bad odour, but.... The hotel has some character all of its own and should not be judged by a super pristine North American standard.

Brilliant location, just a short street away from the Duomo, and the view from our upper floor window was breathtaking. Large, clean room and bathroom, friendly staff and basic breakfast. All the same, we recommend it and would gladly stay there again.

Nice hotel even though it's showing its age, especially in the public rooms. Good-sized rooms and good location near the Duomo on a main street. Lots of decent places to eat just down the street near the San Lorenzo market. I've stayed in a twin and a single and the single is very nice for the price.

Just returned from Florence, the hotel was great, excellent position only metres away from the Duomo. The staff were very friendly, and efficient, and the service great. We would recommend the Fenice Palace to anybody wanting a city centre retreat in Florence.

Super location steps from the Duomo. Bathroom was rather small and needed some minor repairs. Overall a reasonable value.

I thoroughly enjoyed the stay at this hotel. The rooms are clean, though not modern in appearance. The hotel reminded me of a favourite slipper that you can get very comfortable in. This was our first experience of service in 2.5 weeks so it was an appreciated experience. Could not recommend highly enough.

The room decor was quite dated and our bathroom needed some renovating eg. the shower fitting kept falling off. Position of hotel was fantastic.

Would not recommend this hotel. It was very outdated and shabby. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls, base board had come unattached in both our bedroom and the breakfast room. Breakfast was a sorry attempt at meeting the breakfast requirement. There was no safe in the room and we had to provide a EU50 deposit in order to obtain one.

We had a wonderful time while at the Fenice Palace! The hotel is perfectly located and the staff was helpful and gracious.
