The Hotel has a roof terrace (bar) with incredible view of Florence. Try not to miss the sun set and watch it from there enjoying your aperitif before dinner. You won't find better place for it.

I had planned to stay three nights in this hotel. During my first night I noticed insects in my bed (room 502). I told the reception about it in the morning, asking them to do something about it. The second night, the insects were still there. I got bitten all over the arms, back and legs (the number of bites cannot be counted: hundreds). I left very early in the morning, refusing to stay for the third night that was booked, and accepting to pay for the first night only. Having documented myself, I realise the insects were actually bedbugs. A week and a half after my stay, the stings are still swollen and burning. Not quite a first class experience.

the room at third floor had dirty and scrostate walls, the moquette it was detached from the pavement. I task that the hotel would have need of a beautiful restoration.

From the Web site we viewed we expected a lot more than what we received. We actually were taken to our room and with minutes of being there we packed our bags and left. This hotel would be OK for those who want to stay in an outdated, musty, ill-equiped room by any standards. I would take a further look at what you are seeing on their sites and make some further enquiries before making a booking again through a Boscolo Hotel.

Web site photos do not do justice to this hotel. The Florentine atmoshere was truely inspiring. All staff were extremely polite and helpful. An excellent hotel situated less than 5 minutes walk from Florence Central Station and only 5 minutes walk from the Doumo. An excellent 7 day market is only a few hundred yards away. Many excellent restuarants within the immediate area.

The first 4-star Boscolo I have stayed in, and there was a difference between this and the 5-stars. Negative points: room was a bit small and dingy, horribly expensive mini-bar (when will a hotel learn to put a bit more money on the hotel rate, and then give free soft drinks??? The guest would feel happier, and the hotel would make more money. Charge for beer/wine if you want, but €5 for a diet coke or a tiny packet of peanuts??? It ruins the experience) and the breakfast contained nothing that wasn't covered in powdered sugar! Fine for the first day, but after that it was simply inedible! Sugared bread anyone??? The plus points: beautiful lobby/bar/building, as is normal with Boscolos, good location, both for the station and the centre, fabulous maid (she did the room every day in about 5 seconds!) and as usual the wonderful staff. Not been disappointed by a single Boscolo employee yet. Would I stay there again? If I didn't need a second mortgage to open the minibar, yes.

As a family of five, we had two rooms. Both rooms were excellent, quiet and clean. One room had a beautiful fresco on its wall. The location is excellent with a wonderful view of the Duomo from the 6th floor terrace. Breakfast was excellent, abundant and hearty. Would stay there again.

An unfortunate experiance, I booked online from reviews and photos shown. The staff are respectfull and profesional with good presintation. But the room we recived was small, old stained walls, squeeky bed, small closet and the furniture is all scratched up. It was depressing to be in the room I had to change hotels. I was booked for 4 nights but did not stay even one. I paid the first night that morning and left to book 4 nights at the Bristol.It was double the money but worth it. The staff were very nice to me but the structure needs renovation.
