The air conditioning ceased working on Sunday 20th Jan and we reported it that evening. We were offered a change of room, but as it was expected to be repaired on Monday 21st, declined. No repairs were effected on Monday and we complained on Tuesday. Again a change of room was offered, but no repair date could be given. It was eventually restored on Weds 23rd, which we thought poor. This marred an otherwise very pleasant stay. Selwyn Veater.

Hotel Faro had not recieved my booking from Hotelclub, but I was very well treated by the night portier who gave me the room I had requested anyway . Faboulous location and very good and reasobably priced food in the hotel, I can recommend that, it has a magnificent view of the water and the roofs of the old part of Faro.

Fantastic roof bar and restaurant (where breakfast is served) from where you get a glorious view of the old town, bay and planes landing at Faro airport.

Hotel overall good BUT was asked on a number of occasions for payment because they claimed they had not been paid by Hotel Club. This was particularly embarassing when we had a guest with us!! Seemed to be a breakdown in the system.
