Just booked this hotel on the internet after reading reviews. Was not disappointed, the hotel was in a good location, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very quiet and unless you passed someone in the lobby you would be unaware of anyone else staying there. I would definitely use this hotel again.

Good location in the center of the city, a few blocks away from the railway station.

Very friendly staff. Very comfortable. Good porridge. Charming stuffed toy on armchair - Greyfriars Bobby, and book on bedside table! Would definitely stay again.

Just far enough from the hustle and bustle of Princes St but near enough to walk everywhere.A lovely hotel!

Nice and friendly hotel, excellent location in centre of town. The only reason why I do not give top score on service, is that the heat was turned off for a period during daytime, so it was rather cold if we went to the room for a rest in the afternoon.

I stayed in a 1 bed room which was clean, tidy and basically the cheapest single room in the centre of Edinburgh. I would recommend this room at the price I paid for anyone looking for a bed.

A lovely hotel in a very convenient location in central Edinburgh. Spacious and attractive rooms, friendly service, and a very good price from [your website].

I was there for one night to go to see a show at the Playhouse - the hotel was at an excellent location; just a couple of minutes walk from both the theatre and Waverly train station. The room was clean and the breakfast was good too. People at reception were friendly and helpful, and kindly gave us directions to the nearest car park and petrol station. Would definetely stay here again.

No comment on facilities as I was barely there but they gave me a continental breakfast at 6 am so I could catch an early train. Very pleasant staff and relaxed atmosphere. Extremely close to train station - follow Calton Road signs out of station and you are almost there.

We were very disappointed to be in the bats' belfrey, room no. 14, which required walking up flights of stairs after taking the lift as far as it went. We didn't mind the walk up and down throughout the weekend without suitcases to lug about, it would have been nice to have been offered help with cases and also to have been told about the trek at the end of the lift. Apart from that, everything was fine. I wouldn't, however, stay there again - unless I was guaranteed a room on a floor with lift access.

Excellent location to access all the main attractions of Edinburgh. Rooms of high quality and standard. No complaints, would stay there again.
