This hotel was a very pleasant stay, a little further from the city centre but a nice walk for me and my partner. The breakfast was nice and the bedroom was too. It was a little small but had all the right facilities which made up for it. overall a very pleasent stay.

Exept for the breakfast, everything was nice, specially the lady's at the reception. My only comment is that somebody promissed us to take care of our lugage the day we had to go home, it was still standing in the lounge at the end of the day. But we had a lovely weekend in Edinburgh!!

The staff at Piries hotel was exellent, the room was big and clean. It wasen´t in the center of town but I think it was nice to live just off the center. We did alot of walking. I do raelly recomend this place, specially the staff!

If you are driving your own car, parking can be a nightmare! Street parking is extremely expensive and they are like hawks over a mouse waiting for your meter to expire.

Hotel was very clean but a few things just need that pesonnel touch , not enough sockets in room (1) for kettle , television , lamp and hairdryer .Helpful at reception and discount tickets available for some attractions. Continental breakfast which was plenty. Would use this hotel again

Nice building, clean. I even managed with English victorian style shower water heating!! Very friendly staff. The breakfast was fortunately continental and therefore more healthy and tasty than traditional English one.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely building -old Edwardian splendour, but my twin bedded room very small - little soundproofing from bathroom/toilet in bedroom. Boxed waste pipe from upper rooms running through room I used.

We had a quad room, which is a long room with 4 twin beds. It was in the basement. Although it appeared to be neglected, it was pretty clean. The television didn't work and didn't appear to be hooked up to work. The hair dryer didn't work either. They charged 142 pounds for one night which we felt was out of line.

As it´s a bar on ground floor it comes some cigarette smoke if you stay on the same floor.

We stayed over Hogmanay. Cheaper than a hostel that friends booked. Breakfast included in the price and was a very good selection. Only 15 minutes walk to Princes Street, so we found it quite a handy location.

Breakfast was actually continental and stale Building work going on during our stay, we were not pre warned and told to ignore the wood shavings that were lying about Our room must have just been decorated the night before as the paint fumes gave us both headaches I've seen bigger bars in mates' houses than at this hotel
