It was an easy walk to the Haymarket area of Edinburgh. No parking outside the hotel- just as well we had a hire car from Avis just half a mile away. Good breakfast and helpful staff.

1)Bathrooms within the rooms are very small. 2)It may take about 15-20 minutes (walking) to get to the main attractions such as royal mile, prince's street, etc 3)Staff very friendly and helpful.

I was there during the festival and expected to pay a higher price than usual - hence I felt that the price for a stay in a reasonable but tired hotel was over the top.

Very well located. Decent breakfasts. Small, but clean rooms. Quiet. Shower literally two feet by two feet. Apparently, that's not unusual in Edinburgh.

We would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff were very friendly. The bed was very comfortable, so we slept well. Breakfast was lovely - fruit, cereals, toast, cooked breakfast and a good selection of hot and cold drinks. The hotel is in a good location.

Good breakfast, but this hotel is only 2 stars.

Rather pricey for what it is. Scottish Board has rated it 2 star, which is about right. Internet seemed to give impression of being better. Cleanliness of room good, tiny bathroom, esp shower, corridors grubby. Breakfast good standard buffet and good choice. Prices dear enough without looking for extra for use of room safe and internet connection. Adequate but could be better for the price

Pricing was as expected for Edinburgh during the Fringe. Hotel was clean but very basic. If you are looking for functional with no frills then this is your hotel however would expect prices to be reduced when not at the height of the tourist season. No Car Parking Facilities, therefore extra cost for public parking about 5 mins walk away. Excellent Breakfast however.
