Very well located in Picardy Place. Has some secure car parking on site which is very valuable in this part of Edinburgh. Suggest bookers prebook the parking. Staff were very helpful.

Iwould have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. The rooms were lovely and the staff were extreemly helpfull and friendly, we will definatly be back here to stay.

This is an excellent hotel in a great location. it is five minutes walk from Princess Street and ten minutes from Waverly train station. There are a number of chain bars / resturants just across the road with a great chip shop just around the corner. We would definatly go back next time we are in Edinburgh.

Hotel had ignored/forgotten (previously confirmed) request for a smoking room. We were offered a smoking room when we arrived, however this was only made up for 2 guests (whilst there were three of us). Upon entering the room we discovered no third cup, saucer, glass etc and had to go to reception to collect these items, as the reception staff refused to send anyone up with them. We also had to make our own sofabed up, again as the hotel staff refused to assist with this, despite the error in room allocation being theirs. (I had contacted the hotel earlier in the week to confirm the smoking room). Our room was on the 5th floor and had no air conditioning or air conditioning vents. The heat on the fifth floor was unbearable and we only had a small fan within the room to compensate. Breakfast was adequate however there were several delays during serving when there were no clean plates, spoons etc and many guests were left hanging around the breakfast area waiting for these items.

Reception staff very good. I had a very early start 4am, and whilst I did advise the reception staff the night before that I would need a breakfast, it wasnt ready, however the 2 guys on Reception sprung into action and got me some refreshments within mins - which was impressive. Great location too

The room was ample in size, had a great layout and decor, and looked liked it had been recently remodeled. With the Internet rate, the value was excellent compared to other downtown hotels. I plan on staying there again the next time I'm in Edinburgh.
