Hotel Information guide was out of date: menus and prices incorrect etc. Main restaurant was closed in the evenings, although no explanation was given and all signage implied it was open 7 evenings per week. Breakfasts were excellent, as were the pool and sauna facilities. Well positioned for Grassmarket shopping/dining and access to the Royal Mile/Castle.

Great hotel and services. Very pricey for the evening, considering that the night after, it was 50% less. I would hope to stay another time - but at a lower rate.

It was rather disconcerting that, having left our used, wet towels (with a few smudges of make-up, I confess) in the bath in the morning for replacement with clean, dry ones, we found on our return to the room that these same towels had been picked up, folded and left in the bathroom for further use.

Within easy walking distance of castle and other points of interest. Located within a very quaint part of the city although the hotel itself is very modern with all usual facilities and more. Food extremely good with fantastic view from restaurant. Without exception every member of staff we dealt with or passed by was extremely friendly and polite. We are definately coming back and we will stay again.

Hotel room was of a very high standard and very clean. Staff were nice and and facilities were great. Would definately recommend to friends.

On a night time the hotel was noisy, the double glazing did not cut out the noise from the street below, or people returning in the early ours along the hotel corridors. During our stay they had several functions and large parties at the hotel, so it was not possible to eat in the Heights restaurant on both nights and on the saturday the metro was also unavailable. There was also a very loud disco on the saturday night which went on until 1am, so there was no chance of getting a good nights rest prior to flying home the next morning.

Location superb. Staff very friendly. Some good touches in rooms, like complimentary bottled water every day, but would suggest that better quality loo roll is provided!

Friendly well located hotel. The only problem I encountered was one (out of two) non working elevator that was not fixed over the four day stay - endless waiting to get to and from the 5th floor restaurant!

Great Hotel, in a brilliant location. Need to sort out there breakfasts though, the restaurant can't handle the demand, was left queuing for 30mins to get a table to have complmentry breakfast, then not all food was available. Tip, have breakfast early. Lovely stay overall.

Great location close to grassmarket. Fab view of the castle in the breakfast room. Highly recommend.
