Little touches made the stay special - complimentary jelly beans and Pringles alongside a good selection of teas, coffes and biscuits, and the toiletries were really very nice, beautiful smells and felt quite luxurious. Disappointed that the special offer of two meals for £20 apparently didn't apply during December (bit naughty that the promotion didn't mention this :-() but the food was excellent quality. Staff were helpful and courteous. The accommodation was not the largest room I've had but the decor and facilities made it seem much more special. A ten minute walk up to Princes St from the Hotel made the shops in easy reach and a chance to walk of some of the food we ate. Alternatively, a bus stop is right outside the hotel for those that don't fancy a stroll. I'd be very happy to stay here again and can recommend it without hesitation.

The reception staff were extremely helpful and willing to offer assistance, the food in the restaurant was very good and breakfast in my room arrived exactly on time. A very pleasant overnight stay.

We were impressed by the courtesy and friendliness of the (mostly foreign) staff in the hotel and restaurant, who seem to set new standards in customer service in the UK. Our one complaint - a noisy party group - was dealt with immediately and sympathetically. High standard of comfort in the rooms; splendid breakfast.

All staff were very helpful and pleasant. Fifteen minute walk to Princes Street. Nice location for most of the local sights. No Air-Con in the room (standard rooms) although advertised. Very good, clean ensuite, lovely decor in room and throughout hotel. Excellent food on offer for breakfast, varied menu. Safe in room for valuables, very handy! Would definitely go again. Perfect holiday, thank you Apex!

My first time in Edinburgh and an Apex Hotel, both my wife and myself were most impressed with the European. The reception staff were both friendly and helpful, the room and facilities were very good. We stayed on a Bed & Breakfast basis and I must stay the breakfast (and the choice) was absolutely superb! Would have no hesitation in recommending and definately would use Apex again.

A Faultless hotel situated near Haymarket station,friendly staff and easy to get to and from edinburgh centre.Out of 10 a perfect 10 .would recommend to anyone.

Facilities are limited and the hotel is some distance from the centre of the city. They were full when we stayed and service suffered but there is no excuse for serving flat sparkling water.
