Very functional hotel. restaurant was pleasant and good value. Close to the major facilities of Dublin. I had a nice, no fuss, no hassle stay and I will certainly use this hotel again in the future. Staff made the effort more than normal. They were courteous, direct and efficient, doing the simple things well.

Parking was a problem as car park was full and receptionist was not pleasant or helpful. Checking out was also a process there were no pleasantries.

nice location with view of small park from breakfast area and walking distance from city centre (stephens green about 15mins leisurely walk) nice hot and cold breakfast buffet. efficient friendly staff. there is parking, but only a small number of spaces and you cannot reserve them.

Nice site near Grand Canal. Quiet location. Near RDS. Rooms clean, warm ja spacious. Good breakfest. Bar was nice and relaxed place to spend time, read, take a pint or eat (Salmon sallad was excellent).

It can not be acceptable to have no hot water on two mornings in a row and the reception is not identifying this as a big problem.

The hotel is very hot. It is a pity that you can not control the temperature in the room or open a window. I saw even people sitting in sleeveless shirts at breakfast.It might be an Irish thing because we experienced this indoors in Dublin quite a lot.

The Mespil is a fine hotel in a good location by the Grand Canal, about 15 mins. walk through lovely Georgian architecture to St. Stephen's Green and Grafton St. The area near the hotel has many cafes, restaurants and bars. The quality of the rooms and bathrooms is very good.

Got a good price for this hotel (double room €90) which is quite near St.Stephans green in Dublin.The room was spacious and clean.Bathroom was nothing special but clean.Buffet breakfast was very good.Dishware not very clean however.The hotel is a 20 minute walk to Grafton Steet but it suited my needs.Would recommend this hotel for a short stay when the price is right.Would stay here again.

We came to Dublin to run Dublin Marathon. The hotel was full of runners, we feel that the hotel could have had a pre pasta evening at hotel to get all runners together. The location was great for us and we would certainly booked the hotel again.
