The Island Hotel's staff was kind and the amenities were great, including its restaurant and workout facilities. The room size was adequate for the three of us and housekeeping provided 3 of everything (towels, shampoo, conditioner, etc.) In terms of location, it is one stop from Copenhagen's Central station but it is an easy and relatively quick walk (10-15 minutes) to Tivoli Gardens and the main shopping street; however, it is not in the center of things. However, it is next door to an indoor shopping mall, which has a lot of the same stores as the main shopping stree.

Door to bathroom was broken Most crockery at breakfast was chipped (in a 4* hotel!) Basic necessities such as mirror and clock was not in room. This hotel is focusing so hard on design that it misses out on the basic necesseties that you require in a hotelroom.

The hotel is located next to a mall where you can find supermarket and many cafes and shops. It's only a couple stations away from the city centre, it's very easy to travel.

The hotel is beatiful! It's not right in the city centre, but Copenhagen is so small it only takes about 10 mins to walk from the central station to the hotel. The staff is alright, they don't seem overly happy to be at work, but since I'm in the hotel business myself I might be extra demanding when it comes to good service... Overall a good hotel and I would stay there again!

1.We were put in a room for 2 with a temporary extra bed having made clear with yourselvs that it was definitley a rooom for 3. This is a fault of yours rather than theirs we were advised. 2. The room needed a good spring clean. I placed my case on top of the wardrobe to get it out of the way with such cramped space and there was a huge amount of dust. There was also old sticky sweets under the chair which had clearly resulted from child who had stayed previously and the chair had not been moved and the floor cleaned since. 3. The bar and restaurant menu was very limited. 4. Other than the above problems the hotel was reasonably central with a great view of the river. And we enjoyed our stay.

I don´t think I would mind the location if I were driving. I prefer The Square hotel. I have often stayed there.

The hotel was very clean & welcoming, however, our room was not properly stocked / replenished with things like robes, hot chocolate drink.

Good modern hotel, very quiet for rooms on the harbor side (those with the best view!) Adequate breakfast with lots of variety. Close to public transport. The beds were too soft for our taste, bouncy enough to throw a reckless sleeper to the floor. In which case a motion detector in the bedside lamp would switch on a nightlight. The hall was so narrow that the service cart effectively blocked it for all but hand luggage.

Internet available only by paying , at least they should give 15min/day free of charge. I didn't find any facilities for cleaning the shoes , no creams or even better the electric rotating machines that every Hotels have. Difficult to find a free table for breakfast.

The hotel is wonderfully modern and bright in an interesting location a short taxi ride from the centre. Public transport is also nearby. But don't expect to be in the centre of the city. Rooms are on the small side, but facilities were excellent. The service in the bar/restaurant was, however, slow to non-existent

Visited in Late Nov'07, great hotel, very modern decor in hotel and room. Mattresses where very soft (i believe scandanvian style beds),not firm,so if you have a bad back,please be aware.close to central rail station & 5 min ride on 1A Bus to central city,but poor instructions on website to hotel.Breakfast excellent. Internet/business office available, but cost money, internet for 15 mins should be included in price of hotel room. would highly recomend hotel.
