The maid must have noticed the birthday cards in our room and informed the desk as when we returned they had left a box of handmade chocs and a card all beautifuuly presented,

The Leonet frontage is a bit miserable and the reception area is on the small side. There is no other general lounge. There is a bar area downstairs but it is only used at breakfast time. The staff are friendly enough and will offer assistance but the whole ambience of the public areas is a bit nondescript and certainly not palatial. The reception is open 24 hours. The rooms are basic but acceptable. There is no bath but the shower is functional and was clean. The TV is a standard hotel issue with mostly German programmes and a CNN channel that we couldnt hear and BBC world. The safe in the room is FOC. The location is fine, but quite a walk to the old town and to the railway station. If you intend to use the hotel only as a place to sleep then it is fine. Paid about £60 for bed and breakfast. The breakfast was pretty good with a reasonable selection. Not the best but certainly better than many. Basic assessment of the Leonet is that it was a mixed bag.

Lovely quiet location yet close to transport, restaurants bars etc. Had asked for non smoking room but no record (your fault) so had to take ordinary room, even with window open room stank. One wall so thin could hear every word of next room's TV, even at midnight. At 188 Euros very overpriced. Staff helpful.

This the second time we have stayed at this hotel and yet again the staff were very good. The breakfast was excellent and the location is perfect.

The starrating was four stars but it should be three. It was rather modest, quite old and it´s time to renovate the whole hotel. Anyway a proper hotel at the excellent location. Breakfast was good and interior nice.

4 stars hotel? No way! Even 3 stars will be much! I got a room on the 4th flour, with a small window. There was no much light in the room, and in was so hot in the room because you are under the roof! And no clima in the room! 4 stars and no clima? Not possible! And on my question is there another room, I got No answer. So, becarfull - promissis when you are booking the hotel via internet is one story, and the reallity is another story! Better is to write: ... you will get a modest room.., not to write: ...this is recommended 4 star hotel...!

Doors quite thin so noise from people leaving / returning to their rooms a problem. Other than that pretty good. Clean, good breakfast, good location for nightife and walking distance to city centre.

The room was very small and did not have air conditioning ... it was very stuffy at night & difficult to sleep. The location is a little out of the city ... I would recommend choosing another hotel close to the Dom or Altstadt (better for tourists). Hope this helps.

Clean, comfortable and functional - but pretty characterless. Small foyer and very small twin room. Reception staff, however, were first class. Very efficient and polite - conversed well in English. Dissappointed by the location - although it was reasonably central and adjacent to a shopping area, it certainly was NOT five minutes' walk from the cathedral - more like 25 - and didn't feel like it was at the 'heart' of the city which was specifically why it was chosen. During the daytime, the hotel was 'lifeless' - a cup of coffee was sadly unavailable in any form at any time other than breakfast.
