I have stayed in this hotel before, and I love it because of the location and the price. They also have a hot tub, which is nice, and the continental breakfasts are good.

The staff on the front desk could be a bit more welcoming. There was only one member of the team that was polite and helpful -- the others seemed as if they would have rather been anywhere but serving their customers.

We requested a non-smoking room online but this request was refused upon check-in. The hotel said that customers who book with discounters online cannot reserve non-smoking rooms. Since I'm asthmatic, I had no choice but to leave the windows open in 40 degree weather in Chicago.

Inflexible when non-smoking room sought. Corridor areas in smoking zones excessively polluted because of limited opportunity for external ventilation.

Service was fine with two MAJOR exceptions: a very rude doorman that aggressively asked for tips after taking our bags from the hotel custody room At evening I had to wait more than five minutes for somebody in the front desk (believe it or not, nobody was there!) On the plus side, the women that received us when we arrived were extremely nice; the breakfast table was just fine, and the rooms were very clean. Overall I would return to the hotel but they should be a little more careful with the service details mentioned
