We requested a NON SMOKING ROOM but instead got 2 rooms which were for smokers. Only after long arguing were we transferred to a DIRTY non-smoking room. Totally unacceptable!!!

Stayed here twice in 2 years, excellent experience both times. Location is great, being a very short walk from the night market and very central in downtown Chiang Mai.

This hotel is situated well for walking around downtown. The buffet breakfast is not good as staff will walk past the hot dishes without looking in to check that they have any contents. It can be 25- 30 minutes and several people commenting before the food is brought out. In discussing this with the Executive Chef - its there and cooked but people dont take it out. Internet prices appalling but Laundry and Foot reflexology over the road excellent in quality and price.

Spent a very pleasant family weekend here. Very attractive & large grounds, play-park for small children, convenient for shop till you drop at the nearby Night Market and delightful hotel staff. Would certainly stay there again.

I thought that the Hotel was very beautiful and the people that worked there were friendly. The breakfast was great the best i ever had. The sights around were close and near by. And when I come back next year I am going to stay at the Imperial Mae Ping Chiang Mai. I had so much fun! Thank you so very Much. Robert & Chanthip Stivason JUST MARRED !

Well located and good value but although outwardly helpful, the staff were actually quite difficult on a number of occasions when asked to help with simple matters. They were also not concerned to security check us when we accessed out safe deposit box. Use the laundry lady opposite the front entrance (the one on the right with the blue Pepsi sign), much cheaper than the hotel and very friendly.
