The furniture in the room, carpet, mattresses etc were in horrible condition considering that it was rated as a five star hotel by the Egyptian Tourism Department. At best it was a AAA two star. It appeared that they focused all their energy in keeping the hotel lobby and restaurants well maintained all let the rooms go unattended. Also they tried to rip us off by charging us for the items in the mini bar in the room when we did not even touch them. It was charged to our room when we were checking out. Also they charged us for four local calls when my wife made only one call. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

If you wish to sleep in Cairo and you are sensitive to noise, avoid this hotel. The noise surrounding the hotel is incredible.

The hotel is ok. It has good restaurants and a wide variety of facilities that might be useful. But to be honest the room needs a to be renewed. The carpets look kind of old as well as the bathroom.

The hotel does not offer any shuttle service to the airport and their limousine service is over priced (it was twice as expensive as the limousine we got from the airport to the hotel). The rooms were fine but nothing exceptionnal. Breakfast is good and the restaurants in the hotel offer a nice variety of food. Overall, the Sheraton was OK but not wow.

Enjoyed a week here as a single female. Great location for the Museum and central Cairo. The room was spacious, breakfast was a feast and the staff were courteous and helpful. Easy access by bus or cab to the pyramids and beyond. I have been to Egypt before so Cairo was familiar to me. I have no hesitation recommending this hotel.
