The service was first class. They helped us prepare for negotiating with the horse-guided tour of the pyramids. They told us it should only cost US$7 per person and the guide's first offer was US$65 per person. We got him down to $10 per person, plus $10 per person for park fees (we received tix at the park gate) and $5 per person to go into the tomb of the second pyramid (we also received proper tickets for this). Although we hadn't agreed on a price for the guide, and he said initially that we should pay him only if we were happy, when I offered him $10 at the end of the tour he acted insulted...but he wasn't that great and he didn't treat the young boys who were leading our horses well, so that's all we gave him. (We tried to give the boys a tip while he rode ahead but when he came back they immediately gave the money to him.) All told, we felt it was a good prices for a great experience.

We found the Oasis to be a great place to stay. The staff were very friendly and courteous and the rooms were really nice. The breakfasts were fantastic! We would definitely stay there again if we ever returned to Cairo.

Very nice grounds, a bit like a resort hotel, good value, helpful staff. Asked for and obtained room some distance from very busy Alexandria Desert Road - walking along this road not recommended. Good on-site restaurant. About 5 km or 10 to 20 minutes by car from nearest pyramids, depending on traffic. Arranged for half-day tour of pyramids, excellent driver, car actually had seatbelts!

Very nice, spread out resort-style hotel, with tennis court, swimming pool (unheated) and some nice restaurants. Location was great if you are visiting the pyramids (and they helped us organise a great driver, Mohammed from Alexandria )there were two Mohammeds)). Location is quite poor for the rest of Cairo, though, even though they operate a shuttle bus the service is about 3 hours apart.

Bad bits: Shower goes hot & cold. Some food items are slightly expensive compared to what you pay in Cairo. Location: From Downtown Cairo it's about 30 - 40 Egyptian Pounds by taxi Good bits: nice & peaceful Very helpful staff (not pestering you for tips all the time) shuttle service to downtown (air conditioned & safe) Would definitely stay here again

The staff were extremely friendly and is truly is an Oasis near the busy hustle & bustle of Cairo - I would definitley and probably will stay here again
