The quality of the restaurany is not up to the quality of the hotel itself. With the good selection of restaurants in El Puerto de Santa Maria, thsi is not a huge problem.

A very comfortable hotel with pleasant and helpful staff. Dining in the restaurant was superb, quite the best meal we had in Spain. The cafeteria was excellent for informal drinking and eating. A pity that there are no postcards for sale at reception as the building has many interesting artefacts.

A lovely, elegant yet friendly hotel. Excellent location - walking distance for restaurants and train station and memorable for its atmosphere as a former monastery.

This hotel is of a very high 4* standard. The rooms are comfortable & clean, and kept that way! Plenty of public spaces within the hotel, and an underground car park. Only 8 miles from Jerez, and about 1 hour's drive to Seville. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

1. Food in main dining-room was excellent. Breakfast Buffet and food from (rather gloomy) cafeteria - possibly served from a different kitchen - less so. 2. Pool and surround (a) (in early October) went into total shade, by about mid-afternoon and (b) is slightly 'claustrophobic'. in that high walls tower on 3 sides and 4th side does not extend much. Not in hugely attractive setting and water was icy. Not hotel's best feature. 3. But much enjoyed our stay

A wonderful hotel with excellent facilities and nice staff. We stayed a week in southern Spain and had our best meal in Monasterio de San Miguel. You must try their restaurant! Hotel is within easy to reach Cadiz and Jerez from El Puerto de Santa Maria.
