A modern hotel with the standard range of room facilities and pleasant decor. Room could be improved by better double glazing to reduce traffic noise. It is in a very good location close to the Vaci Utsa or main shopping street in Budapest. Restaurants and a supermarket were nearby.

Of the 3 hotels in Budapest which I have stayed in the Buffet Breakfast and the housekeeping were the worst. The room had old trash from other visitors under the bed. The location and front desk staff were excellent

Very clean except for the mens room in parterre, which had a bad smell. Facilities and service are minimal which is to be expected considering the price.

We enjoyed our stay at the Erzebet mainly because of its location and low price. The hotel itself was nice enough, and the service was ok (although we did feel the people on reception weren't that interested in giving us help on directions etc), but the bar never seemed to be open!! In general it was simply a place to sleep during the dark hours when we couldn't explore the city. It was pretty soulless and lacked any character (which was disappointing as the blurb implies it has a lot of history!!), but as a base during our stay it was fine.

To be very honest and frank, the noise from the traffic was quite easily to be noticed although my room was located on the 7th floor. For me it was not a major problem (albeit it was conflicting the description of the hotel on your web site), but for some one else with more sensitivity it could be that. - In any case, the good service and friendly attitude of the personnel fully compensated any occasional noise. :)

The staff helped make our stay very comfortable and we walked to all the sightseeing spots from there. After Prague and Vienna, the rooms seemed a little grubby. The shower was clean, but there were prints on the flusher of the toilet, for example.

The staff at the Erzsebet Hotel could not have been more friendly and helpful, even when we had a problem with a train strike in austria. We had to return to the hotel and had to stay another night. We had no problem with the room and the staff helped very much in getting us alternate transportation. We give the hotel an excellent rating and woulod stay there again.
