Toilet was hanging off the wall, the heating was not adequate and so loud couldnt have it on at night as couldnt sleep. Light above wardrobe was not working when reported was told would be fixed and never was so only had bedside lights to rely on. The walls where so thin could hear all what was going on in next room. Our room was noticeably smaller than others but no reduction for this. The whole of the hotel could do with upgrading as beginning to look shabby

This was a very pleasant hotel, in a really convenient location! You can walk to shopping, museums, and restaurants, and are within a block of a stop on the Green line of the T that you can take to anywhere in the city easily. The staff were very friendly, cheerful, and helpful. I hadn't expected to be able to get into the room until the afternoon, but they let me check in when I arrived at 7:15 a.m. after flying a redeye to Boston, so I could get some rest before I went out to explore. All this, and the price was very reasonable. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

Upon my arrival I wasn''t informed that the restaurant was closed therefore the was no breakfast available in the hotel for the duration our my stay. I only found this out this out when I contacted reception the morning after my arrival.

The air conditioning seemed to be inefficient and the thermostat did not control the temperature. The bathroom lite/exhaust fan was extremely noisy when turn on. The place was clean and courteous employees was the norm. I'd stay there again, hoping they fix the A.C. and fan.

The best part of this hotel is location. It is very close to Symphony subway station (Green Line E) and a bus stop on Mass Ave where you can easily catch bus number 1 (~1 minute walk to both). The room size is bigger than many hotels I have stayed and the bathroom is of a good size. There is no bottled water but you can drink off the tap, and they have ice machine available too. The service here is all right. I requested a bath rug at around 11 p.m. and they managed to get it delivered to my room. I did not spend a lot of time in the hotel but very happy on my decision to make a booking to this hotel.

This hotel had good sized rooms, a large bed, air conditioning and was easy to find and in a good location for exploring Boston. Staff were pleasant and overall hotel offered good value for money.

They do not honor smoking/non-smoking requests, so we ended up in a smoking room, which smelled bad and was less than ideal.

This hotel is very centrally located, the only things that would improve it would be a facility to change currency which you expect from most hotels and a bar to relax in after a long day of shopping and sightseeing. The bonus of a swimming pool was lovely to enable you to relax after shopping or early morning but again it would have been nice to be able to have a cocktail by the pool

Generally a good hotel, but bathroom door didn't lock. Hallways smelt of smoke, but the rooms were fine and good value.

Enjoyed stay, beds very comfortable, very old hotel - decor needs updating. Very noisey would recommended bathroom light switch and fan switch to be separate. Some guests forgot to switch off light/fan in bathrooms therefore some were going through the night, for light sleepers this is very difficult to get to sleep.

The hotel is clean, the staff superb and the location second to none. Factor in the price and the Midtown provides unbeatable value.
