The rooms were very spacious, lots of storage space, but we were in a suite. The cooker didn't work and the shower was in a bit of disrepair but still worked fine. There were a lot of switches on the wall that we didn't have a clue about what they did, but overall we were happy with the Hoitel and there were supermarkets and restaurants very close by, so I would recommend it to others, it was just pricier than usual because of the time of year we went, for Folsom Europe. It could have been made clearer on the booking receipt that if you arrive after 6pm you have to talk with the Hotel first as reception closes at 6pm!

When I arrived at 11pm, the hotel was closed and there was no receptionist. Calling a mobile phone number, a friendly lady said that I can get my keys vis-a-vis at the Turkish 'Istanbul Grill'. Well, this was my first impression. I did not know that the reception is only open from 9am-6pm. Primary it is an apartment hotel, with basic service and good breakfast. Sometimes it was weird, because it is a huge building with long corridors and a lot of apartments, but I saw during my 3 day stay almost noone and the light was gloomy in the evening. Opening the window to get fresh air during night is not a good idea, because there is a lot of traffic on the street (Potsdamer Straße), but when closed it is almost quiet and you can sleep perfectly. Well, if you wish a cheap hotel in berlin with good basic service and clean rooms, I can recommend this hotel. If the hotel had been somewhat more animated, I would have found it better.

Nice hotel, very very close to the U-2 line. The rooms are bigs, with a little kitchen in one cupboard. The beeds are not really confortable. A relly bad point for the hotel was that our kitchen was not working, but the did not make us a discount.

I was very disapointed. An ashtray was full and the room was so hot that we had to open the windows.. the problem was that when we opened the windows.. it was so noisy that we could not sleep at all. The other bad thing, really annoying were the blinds.. The room was not dark at all...Overall I dont recommend this hotel. On top of that, the surrendings are pretty bad... Turkish, islam part of the city..Not what I imagined. Well.. at least it was spacious and we did not spend much time in the hotel...
