Great hotel for a base. Close to Alexanderplatz, subway, and bus. No service other than nice breakfast in the morning. No restaurant, no currency exchange, no ATM. But very clean, large room at excellent price. Would stay again.

Pretty basic accommodation but good for those on a budget. Rooms were large, clean but sparsely furnished. For the amount of time we spent at the hotel, it was ideal for us.

Really big room with kitchen - and very friendly staff! The only thing - there was apperantly a really heavy smoker in my room before me. Well, I am not :)

It is the second time that we have stayed at Hotel Agon Am Alexanderplatz and I am sure that we will stay there again because it has great location, big and warm room and... the best breakfast! Stay there when you visit Berlin. We recomend it! Evangelos and Valia from Greece.

Very comfortable hotel for the price. Good substantial buffet breakfast. Very conveniently located near Alexanderplatz and the underground. Staff were helpful. My only criticism is that after breakfast is over, they charge for hot water for drinks. Otherwise a good stay.

The hotel is behind the TV Tower in the old East Berlin area. Across the road is a tram stop that is is easy to use and gets you to the main areas of the old East in minutes. There were 3 of us on the trip and normally this would mean a cramped room with a double bed and camp bed wedged in a corner...Not here!!! We were in Room 404 and this was a 2 bedroom apartment, meaning a room to herself for our 16 year old. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff were excellent and very helpful. All in all I would recommend the Agon as a basic, no frills, very friendly and clean hotel.

This hotel is on the wrong side of the alexanderpaltz. It's in a very run down, dirty area in the east of the city. The hotel is dated, the carpets are grubby and the breakfast, although plentiful, is basic and cheap. I travel alot and tend to stay in resonably priced hotels like this one, but this was way below the standard and is what I would expect if I had of paid half the price. I wouldn't go here again.

Would recommend this hotel, easy reach from Alexanderplatz U-Bahn & S-Bahn stations. You can walk in 5 mins or take 1 stop on the tram. Friendly staff, clean hotel & great breakfast!

The room was amazingly huge! Apparently, this was formerly an apartment building & my single room was in a former king-sized studio apt. I have never had such a large hotel room. Off the entrance hall was a dressing area with plenty of closet space, full-length mirror, coat hooks. I could've moved in & been very comfortable! The bathroom itself was larger than my entire room in Copenhagen! There was a kitchenette in the main space, but the catch was you paid extra for the use of a fridge, cutlery, dishes & pans. I didn't need that stuff, so no problem. The balconies are spacious as well, with wide open views since the building is set back from the wide avenue. Service was good. Breakfast was good. Just be aware there are no cafes or shops within a couple of blocks, but Prenzlauer Berg & Freidrichshain are within easy walking distance, as well as Alexanderplatz. Trams stop right out front. Highly recommended.

Excellent Price. Large Room with ante room for storage of luggage, prams, bicycles, etc, then a Shower/Toilet Room, and into the main bedroom with lounge area, kitchenette (no crockery, utensils, etc) and good beds, plus balcony. 5stars awarded at this price, but in the context of all Berlin Hotels it is a GOOD 3star. Cold Buffet Breakfast it said, well we got hot egss and sausages, plus cold meats, cheeses, breads, fruits, salads ....
