The lobby of the hotel paints a very beautiful picture of the hotel. The room that I stayed in was small, but it was meant to be a single room, very neatly maintained. TV did not work, but that was not a problem, as it gives you a chance to enjoy the La Ramblas late into the night. The location is perfect. Service was good and descent breakfast spread.

Good location, very close to Plaze de Catalunya and La Ramblas, also close to metro stations. Food service poor, also no basic items such as hairdryers / tea / coffee making facilities.Good for 2 - 3 nights but no longer.

This hotel is in an excellent location, within easy walking distance of La Rambla, the Metro and many other attractions. Our room faced onto the street which we liked as we could stand out on the balcony and people watch. However, it is very noisy all night long which could (and did) disturb sleep. The breakfast was fine. There is a sewer smell sometimes in the restaurant, but I found that in many areas of Barcelona.

This was an average hotel in a good location. The hotel restaurant Miro is to be avoided at all costs we had dinner there one night and it was yuck - buffet breakfast not much better - be warned !

Having stayed here before on several occasions we were disapointed on this trip, reception and dining area fine, but hallways to rooms looking very tired, some resoration work being carried out. No problem in changing rooms (first one no view and very small) second room on 5th floor had been recently refurbished, bathroom very smart and flat screen tv but wallpaper in room was begining to peel away.

The hotel is in a good location just off las ramblas with plenty of choice for bars and hotels. The bathroom is good but the actual rooms could do with a make over and as you are near a number of bars expect some noise. Overall we enjoyed our stay

The position of the hotel was ideal, in the heart of the Gothic District yards from the Ramblas. The rooms were basic but adequate, although showering was like stganding under a tap. The food and service at breakfast was excellent and the service in general was very good. However the hotel is undergoing refurbishment which means a lot of mess and noise in some areas, and in one of our rooms there was a persistent and off putting smell of drains. Overall a reasonable hotel which needs a bit of upgrading.

The hotel was in an ideal location but is currently undergoing renovation works. The corridors had plaster falling off the walls and rugs covering holes in the floors. We weren't disturbed by any building works in fact we never saw any at all but there was a very very bad sewerage smell coming from our bathroom. Also as there were no carpets etc anyone going to their rooms after you had gone to bed woke you up. Breakfast though was lovely and Barcelona brilliant.

The hotel is in a great location , it is clean & quiet , the buffet breakfast was excellent, however the double room we had was small and a bit dated. However as we did not spend a lot of time in the hotel it was not a problem. (Ladies beware : No hairdryer in the room) . Overall great value for money & would stay there again

I booked a double room with my girlfriend but when i arrived i was very dissapointed to discover that it was two single beds pushed together! Very poor if you wanted to migrate to the other side of the bed during the night.

The hotel was small, very noisey and the bathroom smelled very badly. The write up for this hotel made it sound much better than it turned out to be. the rooms are quite small as well.

Location excellent, however the floor we stayed on seemed to be undergoing renovations, and there was a very grotty-looking carpet with what smelt like sewage at the lift entrance on our floor. Also, a bigger room would have been brilliant, but nothing else was available that week. Great city, great weather!
